Low point heroes are generally going to be relegated to cleanup. The only way to avoid that and encourage bringing her up earlier in the game is to boost her stats and her points. But if she's just going to be filler for a Monk build (not something I love, but hey, filler can be an acceptable fan service) then she'll be more relevant due to the Monk synergies and OM ease.

For the actual name of the character, I found some inspiration you might like. There are two pretty famous female names in Shaolin and martial arts history: Ng Mui, an elder who escaped the destruction of a temple, and her student, Yim Wing-Chun. Ng Mui developed a self defense-based martial arts style for Wing-Chun called ... Wing-Chun. But you could easily splice those two names together somehow to name this girl (Mui Chun, Yim Mui, etc.).

Well, I'm not sure I want to use there names, simply because I didn't design with them in mind at all. I feel like it would be a disservice to name a design after them, when it doesn't have anything to do with them, other than being a monk.

Using a site that tells you the meanings for different names, I came to "Nui Jia" which means auspicious girl.

I like the theme of the ability your going for, but I’d be pretty worried it’d be wasted on such a low survivable unit. 3 life 3 Def is terribly soft and I could see her going down in 2 attacks and rarely getting a chance to even use the ability. I’m afraid this design just wouldn’t flourish in a filler type role.

She used to have 4 defense, but I as trying to keep her price low, so I lowered it to 3. I want to avoid raising her attack, because most of the monks have only 3 attack, and raising her attack makes her ability way more potent, which would raise her price quite a bit. How would you all feel if I raised her Life and Defense to 4? That would probably put her price around 50 - 60, and allow her to get her ability off more consistently, while still retaining some semblance of a filler.

That would go a long way towards easing my concerns. She's still a cheap monk hero, but I think that she'd be more fun to play and have a better chance of building up those markers.

Agreed. I also think you shouldn't think of her as a filler. I think a monk with this fun/unique type of ability needs to be priced at the point where the design is functional. The Valkrill monk looks pretty cool. I wanted to throw some props your way for getting to see the drow assassin again. I really love most of the elements of that design.
