New Custom Cards: Chief Silent Crow and MC-6 Resistance Cavalry
Chief Silent Crow


Chief Silent Crow uses a Native American Chief from the Reaper Chronoscope Line (comes unpainted and is metal).

MC-6 Resistance Cavalry


MC-6 Cavalry uses the following figures from the Star Wars Miniature line: Luke Skywalker on Tauntaun, Han Solo on Tauntaun, and Rebel Trooper on Tauntaun.

Wow, I really like the mariedian cavalry. Great idea to use the tauntauns, following the precedent set by the mariedians themselves!

Whoa...love the Mariedian cavalry units! You outta try and workshop it in the Pre-SoV Workshop and see what they say. I think adding some fast mounted units to the Maridians would be great! GRANTED, it completely depends on how available those units are. They might be better as a unique squad than a common squad if they aren't super available

Unfortunately the Tauntaun figures are not that available (I only found a total of 10 or so squads over the main online stores) and are also pretty expensive (around $15 or more). Because of these things I don't think they are fit for the SoV.

However, there are some units that I have cards planned for that I might end up trying to workshop and eventually send through the SoV.

Yeah, I actually did look into getting these figures because I liked your custom, and boy are they pricey.

Honestly, there should be an SOV sub-project for less available minis...

Two more units this week, an ancient animate construct and a reckless Major with a prototype portal gun:

Luudesh the Ancient


The main idea behind Luudesh's design is that he is an ancient statue that only awakens when somebody stumbles into it. The figure used is Calikang from the Pathfinder Battles miniatures set Legends of Golarion.

Major C-137


Major C-137 and his portal gun are a wink and a nod to a certain fictional character. Also, his figure from the MechWarrior clix line of miniatures.

These are the last two cards of Wave 2, next week I'm going to start with two cards from a set of 5 huge heroes.

Nochir:

Nochir is a brawler of a centaur, charging from opponent to opponent to make big hits. Often it is best for him to take multiple leaving engagement attacks just so he can keep getting big hits in.

The figure Nochir uses is a Centaur from the Confrontation Game and comes as unpainted metal.

Vierstra:

Vierstra helps the Deepwyrm Drow a lot with her shadow spell aura, giving them very high survivability against normal attacks, but it requires her to take a turn to do so. The ability also requires special consideration for her placement so that her aura doesn't boost enemy figures. Being able to destroy fellow Drow, enhances her survivability, but can quickly add up to a lot of dead Drow. She's a fun unit to play and really helps the Deepwyrm Drow compete with normal attacking units.

The figure used for Vierstra is the Drow Elite Warrior from the D&D miniature set Monster Menagerie II.

The figure used for this card is the Star Wars Hailfire Droid from the Universe set.

Hahaha, I LOVE the speeder. Do you have those figures? Do they fit comfortably on a 2-space?

I have both of them and they do fit well on peanut bases. However, they are a little hard to place near a cliff-face (especially the Hailfire Droid).
