Re: The Book of Ebon Armor

What you're missing is that you can always attack figures you are adjacent to; attacking an adjacent figure does not require being able to see hit zones. Defensive Positioning only protects the Ebon Armor from ranged attacks. |

Re: The Book of Ebon Armor
If you are adjacent, you can always attack unless there's ruins or something in between you.
EDIT: Somehow didn't see that I was on page 3, thus did not see how late I was to the party. My Custom Designs.

You can always attack a figure that's adjacent. [Still page 2 on my settings, so I assume the party is going strong. Can someone pass me a beer?]

Just want to point out that all the figures released in Wave 21 "Curse of Stormtorn Peak" now receive synergy benefits from Ebon Armor's Animated Materiel

Re: The Book of Ebon Armor
While on the topic of updating the Book for these guys, the Power Ranking isn't listed here yet despite being posted on the Power Rankings thread. I've noticed that this is a common thing for C3V/SoV Books, but it'd be nice if it could be added.
I've quoted the relevant rank and explanation from the thread for convenience: Proud Member of Platyfly!

To that end, I'd probably want to take:
I do like your use of ranged squads, though, since that could be used to great effect as well. The Morgan's Riflemen currently being tested are a new option that I didn't consider before, but I'm not entirely certain yet that I would want to sacrifice the extra defense for them. The Tarn Viking Warriors are another squad that I always try to keep in mind with the Ebon Armor, since you get a great number of Unique Humans for their cost. Proud Member of Platyfly!

Re: The Book of Ebon Armor
Well met!
Interesting. But 5 points over (500). Even without Rygarn, Tomoe is a hard fit. I could go with 125 Ebon Armor (4) 110 Tomoe (1) 100 Krav (3) 100 Kozuke Samurai (3) 60 Izumi (3) 495 (14) or, with Rygarn 125 Ebon Armor (4) 110 Tomoe (1) 100 Kozuke Samurai (3) 90 Rygarn (1) 60 Izumi (3) 10 Isamu 495 (12) But my original army 125 Ebon Armor (4) 100 Krav (3) 100 Kozuke Samurai (3) 60 Izumi (3) 60 Morgan's Riflemen (Public Playtest) (3) 50 Tarn (4) 495 (20) has 20 (versus 14 and 12 in the two armies above, respectively) figures in it, which may matter more than defense and/or OM efficiency. Also, we're playing Heat of Battle (4-player) on Taeblewalker's Savage Land map. I'm planning on taking over the Castle area. This seems like a good spot to hide units until needed, and keep all the action close, to make the best use of the Ebon Armor. Last edited by kolakoski; March 12th, 2018 at 02:30 PM. |
