NAME = MOLE MACHINE
COVER = FULL UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE VEHICLE OCCUPANCY = 4 SIZE/HEIGHT = HUGE 9 LIFE = 5 MOVE = 4 DEFENSE = 7 POINTS = 230 SUBTERRANEAN MOVEMENT 4 Instead of moving Mole Machine normally, you may choose an empty land space within 4 spaces of Mole Machine. Place Mole Machine on the chosen space and roll 1 unblockable attack die against each figure adjacent to it that does not occupy the Mole Machine, or 2 unblockable attack dice if a Unique Ruler or Genius you control is on this card. SUPER STRENGTH Old SP

This Mole Machine may only be moved by this special power and can never have its normal move boosted. Instead of moving this Mole Machine normally, you may choose any empty land spaces. Place this Mole Machine on the chosen spaces. When this destructible object is moved by this special power or destroyed, after removing it from the battlefield, place all figures you control that were on top of it on any space previously occupied by this destructible object. Moved figures never take any leaving engagement attacks but will receive any falling damage that may apply. Does this work? |

Also, should it be specified "other placed (or moved) figures never take etc etc" so as there is not confusion that the MM takes falling damage? |

Re: The Book of Mole Machine: Design
Right now the big thing to decide is the number of spaces this thing will occupy. Here are the pros and cons of each (pictures in the OP to go by):
3 spaces: Pros: more manuverability with the drill being able to hang off of overhangs and what not. Cons: Major "Stinger denial" issues with the drill part of the figure being all but unattackable by melee figures since figures could be adjacent to it without being adjacent to any of the spaces the Mole Machine occupies. 4 spaces: Pros: Perfect for 4 occupancy for the Fantastic 4 who might have created one of these to explore Subterranea. Cons: Still some stinger denial issues, but not as bad as some shorter figures can actually fit under the tip of the drill if that space is the same level as the rest of the Mole Machine. (see Magma in the 3 pic in the OP) 5 spaces: Pros: No denial issues and possibly an occupancy of 5 to allow Mole Man to bring more Moloids along for the ride. Cons: Much harder to place on a map with it needing 5 same-level spaces in a straight line. I personally am leaning towards 4 spaces, but I would love to hear each of you guy's opinions on the matter. We'll just need to decide the occupancy based on the number of spaces we choose for the Mole Machine to occupy. |

Re: The Book of Mole Machine: Design
Where did you get with seeing if the ants could fit under the front of this thing on the 4th space?

Re: The Book of Mole Machine: Design
They could easily, see the pictures I added to the OP. The question is do we want to create huge denial issues just to allow a few incredibly short figures to fit under the drill there.

Re: The Book of Mole Machine: Design
I'm happy to back the LD on spaces here, since he's had it in hand and his reasoning seems sound.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Mole Machine: Design
I don't mind Stinger Denial, but I've never been a stickler about that sort of thing and allow figures to fit there anyways. So personally I'd like 3 spaces, but if people who DO pay attention to that think it's bad 4 is probably better.
