The rules:

When moving a figure with a base larger than two spaces, choose a double-space section of the base to lead with. Then move the figure so that the rest of the base follows the chosen base section. While moving, the two lead sections do not have to be on the same level and when counting elevation changes, use the space with the highest elevation change. When ending movement, all parts of the figure's base must be on the same level and no part of the figure may be farther away from its original placement than the distance moved.

When moving figures with multiple separate bases, consider the bases connected and follow the movement rules above.

Rotating a figure with a base larger than 2 spaces:

Anytime during the figure's move, if the base is symmetrical, you can rotate it. To rotate it, turn the figure around while keeping it on the same spaces. The rotation is free: It does not count as part of your move. The figure does not take any leaving engagement attacks when rotating since the figure is staying on the same spaces.

Should we call this a "turn" instead? If there's a 3-space base, there's no way to flip a base 180 degrees and have it on the same spaces. But I think allowing any turns, whether it be 180 or 120 or 240 degrees is worthwhile.

Good point about "flip". I like "rotate" instead.

Yeah, we definitely don't want to add a new definition for "turn" to the game.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
