I have been to other forums, and no other place is so polite. I firmly believe it is because of this...

I don't know... I saw a lot of forums too, and also some with reputation system. I saw no correlation between the rep system and the community behavior. ^^
But from another point of view, it's true that I never saw a rep system as developed as here. The rep system from .Xooit forums is more "permissive" so there is quite no control and the points has far less value...

So yeah, I'm pretty sure there's a link here, but I think that the game itself has it own role to gather good people !

Yeah, before the rep system was instituted this place was a cesspit of profanity, bile and poor spelling.

I'm with DanieLoche---I think it's just that the game attracts excellent people.

I shouldn't have spent a year as a non registered user just lurking.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.
