The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Captain America set.
Its model number and name are #021 / Phobos.

Here's some games for Phobos. I got some pretty swingy results, with the last game definitely swinging in his favor. God of Fear paired with Luthor (I) and Bodyguards can be really strong, but it's hard to time things right and they really have to be facing the right opponent (and the "right opponent" is a pretty small list of armies in this case).

He's a lot of fun to play and makes a very unique solo-hero. He seems about right at 260, though I could see his cost moving either way depending on more games.

QUICK GAME SUMMARY:
Both armies rolled out, with the Warriors Three moving just a bit faster and getting to the middle first. The Moloids were able to swarm at the end of the round so that at the start of the next round Phobos was able to hit Hogun with God of Fear, forcing him to disengage 3 times (he only took 1 wound though). At the end of the second round Groot took a bunch of wounds from combined attacks by the Warriors, so in the third round he disengaged to move to safety and into water. Phobos got another turn and was able to kill Fandral by forcing him to disengage, but he died immediately afterwards to the other two warriors. After that, the dice seemed to favor the Warriors Two, and over the next couple rounds they easily cleared through the Moloids, Groot, and then Baron Zemo.

- Give a brief overview. Phobos’ team had terrible, terrible luck, and early on it was easy to tell they were going to loose. However, Phobos and Zemo (the only two to get good rolls on their team) teamed up nicely at the end and were able to kill Torch, Wasp, and Invisible Woman before going down. Grasscutter was devastating against the Fan5.

QUICK GAME SUMMARY:
Right off the Fan5 knew the Hired Guns were going to give them the most trouble, so they decided to rush Human Torch to use Supernova to take them out. The Criminals figured this out quickly and decided to also rush the Hired Guns forward to take on Torch so that he couldn’t hit the Criminal base. The Hired Guns got to attack first but only dealt 2 wounds out of 8 attacks. Torch then moved in and Supernoved, easily taking all 4 Hired Guns out. This left the Criminals in disarray as the Adventurers charged. Lex was able to use the Bodyguards to engage the enemy and set-up Superboy to protect them. Things were looking good, but then Mr. Fantastic hit an 18 on his roll, and the Fan5 were able to decimate the Criminal team. The Fan5 then focused on Phobos to take him down as soon as possible, but they accidently left themselves open to Baron Zemo, who darted in and in one turn killed Wasp and dealt some wounds to Invisible Woman. In an attempt to take out Zemo before he caused even more damage, the Adventurers left Phobos open to move in and finish off Invisible Woman. Enraged, Mr. Fantastic and the Thing quickly tore apart Zemo, Phobos, and then Luthor to secure the win.

- What should be the unit's point value? 260+
- Give a brief overview. Phobos, paired with the right team, against the right opponent, and with good dice, is insanely scary. He was able to kill Ms. Marvel just by forcing her to disengage with the Bodyguards. However, luck was obviously on his side, and against the great majority of opponents, the strategy I used for Phobos in this game just doesn’t work. Also, it needs to be noted that Drax got himself killed because of the forced movement of Relentless Advance and taking disengagements from the Bodyguards; I made a bad decision on who to make his Nemesis, and had I chosen better (Superboy or Phobos), he would have stuck around much longer.

QUICK GAME SUMMARY:
The Criminals quickly set-up, using Superboy to protect the Hired Guns and Bodyguards, and positioning the Bodyguards to protect Superboy. Ms. Marvel and her team took some time getting into the fight, but once they did it was quickly realized it wasn’t going to go well for them. Phobos was able to hit Ms. Marvel with God of Fear at the beginning of the second round, causing her to take 3 wounds. Superboy was able to absorb most of the damage the Avengers did, and Drax was forced to move out of Ms. Marvel’s range and take disengagement attacks due to Relentless Advance; the Bodyguards rolled insanely well with disengagement attacks and were able to kill Drax without fully missing once. Ms. Marvel and Valkyrie’s attack dice were pathetic, and this allowed the Bodyguards to swarm them so that Phobos could again use God of Fear in the third round, this time killing Ms. Marvel through the disengagements. Valkyrie attempted to take out Phobos, but he killed her before she could take him down.

Didn't need the extra help of phobos, he's an strong unit but the setup required for the swarming combo with him is just too much, there where to times where a minion with less than 3 lifes was sourranded by madroxes and with sage i could choose what to try: phobos attacking and trying to scare him to get 7 disengage attacks or the swarm attacking 7 times, and even against an enemy with counterstrike i prefered the 7 attacks. Maybe with the moloids would have been a different story.

again i played with a hero that would allow take a turn with whomever is needed, so it was a very adaptable army, attacking for 6 or 7 each time. There was a time when my opponent spared rocket raccoon with 1 life and tried to hit someone else, it costed him the game.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Phobos seems balanced, after the first I was a little worried that he might be a little strong, but the other two said otherwise.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Did really well in the first game, had pretty good luck; second game, didn't have much chance to do much; third game, Warriors Three just walked through them.

I was wondering if the defense subtract in God of Fear was intended to be just for Phobos, or the whole turn.

That's 3 public test in. What does everybody think so far? More tests? Tweaks? He's 5-3 in public tests, 7-4 overall. I think a small point bump at least is in order. CRB guys, any worries from the results or things that we missed?

As to ZJ's question, I would say that the defense subtract is in effect for the remainder of the player's turn, but I don't know what the intention was. Might be clearer and cleaner to just limit it to Phobos' attack.

Yeah, I'd say bump his cost a little (270-280) and limit the defense subtract to his turn only. With those changes I think he'll be good to move forward.

Isn't the defense subtraction already limited to his turn? It says 'this turn' not 'until the next time you reveal an order marker' or anything.
