Here's my current version of the "Motley Crew," a.k.a. the Wasteland Marauders.
I'm very open to changing the ability names, especially EVOLVED SKIN (Adapted skin? Mutated skin? Resilient skin?). I'm also curious for those of you who have seen the Mad Max remake if WITNESS ME! is too much of a rip from the movie. I think it's quite fitting considering the condition required to bond. You should add the revealing OM clause to Witness Me!, And clarify if Incite Violence works on other Mauraders (I don't think it should).

A four man squad that bonds with Ogre Warhulk with a defensive power is really good. Motley Max is probably pretty solid too, I've just never used him as a bonder before. I like the idea of making them good against special attacks and terrain though, that's a lot of fun and gives them a unique purpose.

The 3rd figure was already a questionable match. The 4th figure is even worse, from what I can see from the card.

I like where you’re headed with the Wasteland Marauders. Max is one of my favorite designs to come down the pike in a while. These guys look great for post apocalyptic mutations.
However, I have to agree with Scytale, one of those figures just doesn’t quite fit. It might just be the picture tho. You could always keep the fourth guy for a common/uncommon warhulk. Unless warhulks can’t be medium…? Also, Max already hits his chain grab 75% of the time, a plus 1 for each adjacent figure (especially ones that bond with him) might be a bit much. |

The mini looks good. I think the design is a poor fit for it.
Edit: the powers and the theme do not suit the mini. It’s a Square One type objection, not something subject to tweaking. I don’t see the mutant here, I don’t see these powers here. Last edited by Dad_Scaper; August 12th, 2021 at 09:23 AM. |

I do strongly dislike "Multi-Arms Race" as a power name though. It's a clever pun, but the idea of "racing" isn't strongly connected to the theme of the unit. When a pun's "punny meaning" is more obvious than what should be the primary meaning, that's a bit of a problem. |
