Am I the only one who doesn't care for the unblockable die approach to the power? When I read it I either don't get the theme of how she is portrayed in comics or I have to picture her throwing "hard water" at opponents, which I challenge anyone to sight her doing. What she does is turn water into a weapon she holds in her hands (for those familiar with the show "Young Justice" she does it just like Kaldur'ahm.) Mechanically, this power doesn't feel right to me. If her stats are meant to represent her being unarmed, shouldn't her Waterkinesis some how boost her attack? Add a skull or something. Adding an Unblockable attack die to a non-attack doesn't feel "right."

I picture Mera doing something like this to hit people near her. She controls the water to hit people. Water Affinity represents Mera turning water into a weapon that she holds.

What's the unblockable attack die coming from? Aquakinesis can inflict an unblockable wound, but that's common for d20-based powers.

That's all New 52 stuff, but I stand corrected. I'm just coming from a non-New 52 place, but its clear now that the power is at least based on fact. Carry on.

She shoots water at people like that in Blackest Night as well, so it's not just a New 52 thing apparently.

Yeah, in Blackest Night I remember her ramming, slicing, and even stabbing enemies with her hard water abilities.
