Ugly game on my part.

Pro tip: when playing against VC figures you don't know, read the entire card before picking armies.

I didn't realize cultists got an auto shield on the SA when I took Q here. And then I promptly forgot they had disengage against my spiders. Whoops

Chris was going to move Quahon up to level 2 like you guys thought he would, but the way I had my Cultists positioned on either side of her she would have had to disengage from one of them and then reengage on the level 2. A double space figure can’t just hop up with both feet simultaneously, they have to pick a leading foot and follow it with the other one. I’m not sure I’ve ever really seen that situation matter before, but it definitely has an impact in this game.

Kelda is always so tough to play around when both armies have big heroes. My goal early was exactly what you described, either burn it with Cyprien, or force Chris to burn it and put himself in a literal hole. The first entangling web on Cyprien was really good timing for Chris and could’ve swung the whole game if he screened Quahon a little better.

Believe it or not I've seen people forget powers on the Nhah Scirh card a few times. The three powers are relatively simple on their own, but that's still 3 powers to remember that are very specific in when/how they activate, which makes the card surprisingly busy.

Just hope you don't have to interact with Gorillitroopers next.

Oh interesting, so it would leave engagement between one step and the next. I wasn't thinking it would hop up, but didn't think of the zigzag causing a disengage. That's a good catch.

Thanks for the insights! It was a really good game to watch with good gameplay on both sides! Even with Nhah Scirh being misremembered, there was a lot of solid Spider play that kept things interesting!

It's an Utgar civil war as @Dysole and @heroscaper2010 clash in the Online Con General Wars tournament! There was a lot of excellent army building in this event and here we get to see some really cool builds, with Moltenclaw and Cutters taking on Ornak with Heavies (and a Hydra for both sides). Catching the gameplay with me is @infectedsloth , one of the best Heroscape players around, and we have a great conversation talking about the battle between these really fun armies!

We get to showcase two new players today! (Well, not new to Heroscape, just new to the channel.) I had the opportunity to play against both of these players during Day 1 of the Heroscape Online Con Main Event Championship, so this video is especially exciting for me since I had a great time playing against them! We have @Mr_Chompy playing against @Rama in a Reverse the Whip round, meaning they're playing the army their opponent brought. On top of that, it's probably one of the more thematic matchups you'll get to see in a Reverse the Whip format, with Rama playing a horde of Soulborgs and MrChompy playing a horde of Orcs, including the big Mr. Chompy himself! Helping me with this game is @TalesOfValhallaOfficial , YouTuber extraordinaire (seriously, check out his channel), and we have a great conversation as plays are made and dice are rolled!

@coachmuskie and @heroscaper2010 , can either of you explain what happened at 18:40ish in the video? Why didn't Cyprien get lava dunked after the werewolf lord's moon frenzy?

Looks like the wounds/Lycanthrope weren’t placed on Cyprien from the Werewolf attack at 16:25. I remember this instant because when I dunked Cyprien there 2mins later I was 100% sure I was able to but coach pointed out there were no wounds on Cyp. I felt something was off but digressed. Trying to go back to find the attack/defense rolls in the middle of a tight 1hr online game is a little tough. I had also played in Day 1 so this was probably my 7-8th game of the day.

Oh well. That whole week of games was fantastic.

Ah - that's what it was. Thanks for clarifying. I noticed that that wound hadn't been placed on Cyprien... But yes, he had definitely taken a wound and therefore could have been dunked.

I bet it was fantastic. Wish I could've played in some of them.

The Vegies have turned on each other! It's @vegietarian18 vs his dad, VegiesDad, in the Online Con General Wars Finals! This tournament had a ton of really cool army building, and we get to see the two top armies facing off in this game! They're also armies that aren't seen as often nowadays, with VegiesDad piloting a Raelin/Knights/4th build, and vegietarian18 running Charos/Syvarris/Greenscales. And joining me for this game is a super special guest: the Heroscape strategy master himself, @Jexik ! He brings a lot of insight and experience to the commentary, which really adds to an already-incredible game!
