Better constitution won Zangief this match.

After previous match, I learned that rolling for Spinning Piledriver wasn't worth it vs Double Lariat to take on Ryu with CCE. Ryu had no chance.

Units: Shocker (160) vs Zangief
Shocker's knockback with normal attack made it tough for Zangief to control high ground. Zangief got roll for SP once and put 2 wounds on Shocker as result.

Shocker took height advantage and kept Zangief away with Vibro Gauntlets successfully. Had some big attack rolls too.

Zangief's defense was incredible. He got in one spinning piledriver for 2 wounds and also a double lariat for 2 wounds.

Tables turned in this match. Elektra was able to use height advantage to get ranged attacks in on Zangief. Zangief wasn't able to make headway with either of his attack powers.

Spidey-Senses failed. Spidey was outgunned in head to head.

Same as last match. A bad roll in Spidey-Senses and biffed defense roll tied this up for Zangief.

Even with height Zangief had trouble cracking the Sentinel's defense.

After taking a big hit early on, Zangief got a couple good attacks in win it.

- Give a brief overview. Zangief strikes back. Gets solid D against Street Thugs whiffed attacks and cracks some skulls up close.

Zangief used some strategy making his way over to the Sewer Cover DO for protection. Then he rolled defense like a champ and was taking out two Street Thugs at a crack with Double Lariat.

- Give a brief overview. Zangief didn't get a chance to do anything. MODOK took control of Black Panther and put 3 wounds on him. Then AIM Agents finished off Zangief due to a biffed defense roll.

Spoiler Alert!

The Heroes wiped out the AIM Agents and Scientist Supreme, but MODOK was the MVP of the game. Taking control of Black Panther with his Psionic Command was pretty devastating.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? MODOK with full health and 1 AIM Agent won in R6 T1.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? PASS
- What should be the unit's point value? 160 holds
- Give a brief overview. Zangief took out Moon Knight when he tried to assassinate Hush in the start zone. After pulling off a Spinning Piledriver he ended Moon Knight. Zangief was also able to knock out a crippled Iron Man Mk 4. Iron Man tried Uni-Beam on Zangief and Hush and his suit short circuited immediately afterwards. Grappling and another Spinning Piledriver allowed Zangief to get the best of a grounded Iron Man without his powers. Ultimately Zangief fell to a Luke Cage double team w/ Human Torch. Zangief proved useful late game after Deathstroke was knocked out. It can be tough to place an OM on him with so many other higher priced bruisers out there throwing more dice, but he's a good relatively low price hitter with some neat tools to allow him to take on a variety of opponents.

Most of the action took place in the middle of the map with flyers and ranged figures getting some early attack advantages. The snow slowed down the ground pounders. The bonding provided by Luke Cage along with New Avengers flying and range proved too much for the villains. Luke Cage threw some nasty 5/5 skull attacks taking out both Hawkeye and Mr. Freeze. Deathstroke didn't get a chance to even heal and was largely a disappointment. Mr. Freeze was pretty glass jawed too and only managed to land one hit with his freeze gun on Luke Cage.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? New Avengers win in Round 6 w/ 4 wound, 1 freeze marker on Luke Cage, 2 wounds on Human Torch and full life Wolverine unactivated in the start zone.

I think I need to lower the attack on Double Lariat to 4. Bypassing Close Combat Expert on Ryu (and by extension other defensive powers like Tough) was pretty devastating. I also don't want to make his special attack so much better of an option that you don't try for the Spinning Piledriver either.

Going over to my in-laws tonight and will have a chance to do a few games of 'scape. I'll be sure to use Zangief to wrap up testing.
