Re: Gamora - Design Phase
I'd make it after attacking.

Re: Gamora - Design Phase
Yeah, I think that works. We could even do it once per game and lower the D20 roll too.
I wonder if lowering her defense to 4 would work here? I share A3n's concerns, mostly about her survivability with the healing + MMA + 5/5 Life/Defense. I suppose the initial will suss that out, but I can't see her as being at the same level as Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman right now Edit: Actually, forgot that MMA has so many end-arounds. You can attack her from range or with a special attack to get around it, so 5 defense probably isn't that bad. Most figures with melee range that are 300+ are going to have pretty high attack numbers. So I think she's probably good to go as is, if we can figure out the Godslayer power. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Gamora - Design Phase
The thing with MMA is that I think, historically, we've made those units too powerful. Lady Shiva is 5/4 with MMA while Psylocke is 4/5 - and Gamora is definitely, DEFINITELY significantly stronger than both of them. 5/5 is the absolute minimum by those metrics.
Godslayer would be cool if it was after attacking + you have to target the figure you attacked. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

I'd also love to add in a bit that boosts the roll or the amount of damage based on the chosen figure's Life number so that it feels more like god-slaying, but I couldn't think of anything that wasn't overly complex. Re: Gamora - Design Phase
How about this? It'd be an automatic on some Event Heroes, but if they have 20+ Life, I don't mind that.
After attacking with Gamora, you may choose an adjacent figure and roll the 20-sided die. If you roll X or lower, where X is the chosen figure's Life Number, the chosen figure receives 3 wounds and you may not roll for this power again for the remainder of the game. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Gamora - Design Phase
Why not just make it like an enhanced Finish The Job for high life heroes?
GODSLAYER If Gamora inflicted at least X (like 3 or 4) wounds on an opponent's hero with her normal attack, and that hero is not destroyed, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a Y or higher, the defending hero receives Z additional wounds. The roll could even be somewhat low if you make the number of wounds that have to be inflicted high enough, since it probably wouldn't occur that often without killing them. |

Re: Gamora - Design Phase
That'd be interesting... maybe make it double? If you dealt one wound and rolled X, you inflict one wound; if you dealt four wounds and rolled X, you inflict four wounds. Like this:
GODSLAYER After Gamora inflicts one or more wounds on a figure with her normal attack, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 16 or higher, that figure receives X wounds, where X is equal to the number of wounds inflicted. It'd definitely be more useful against huge hitters - a lucky attack and a lucky roll could take out a big, big unit in one hit, which seems appropriate for one of the greatest assassins in the universe. I like that, Johnny.

Re: Gamora - Design Phase
With johnny's suggestion, would we be leaving out the "once per ___" restriction?
