MY friends and I played this as well, we used the detailed rules from TheSparkleInYourWater as he had really thought them out well. The only we never really felt the swarm the castle feel until we added in one other rule,

The attackers place their "X" markers where they want and on their turns they can opt for the X and skip their normal marker, if they use the X, roll a 20 sided dice, on 15 to 20 ALL squads from that card get to take a move without attack, on 15 or lower only 1 squad can move. With some good dice rolls you can really get a feeling of the attackers swarming from everywhere.

We played twice each time it took about 6 hours start to finish and we all had fun each side won once.

I took the wording off the campaign. It has been playtested with LOTR looking armies. The suggestion that Vydar be lumped in with the Utgar seems to work well. Q9 and Q10 behave more like seige weapons and they are overbalanced for this scenerio if they are up on the wall. I would also be concerned with any of the "Wait then Fire" units as well.

If I sold Helm's Deep (which could also make Minas Tirith), what do you think I could get for it? Would it be better to break it apart?

This would be 4 ROTV sets, 4 Castle Sets, 3 Bridge Sets, and a Marvel Set.

Thanks for making the maps! I don't know if I have enough scape to make each one (yet), but I am looking forward to using them.

I especially like the Helm's Deep and Minas Tireth maps.

whew....spent about 2 hours w/my oldest building 1/2 of Helm's Deep. Can't wait to finish it and use the crap out of it. I have a few different game systems I want to try with it.

I have not played the specific campaign, but I have created the map...and it is AWESOME! Amazing work, and it was a lot of fun to play on the full map all together. I love that you created it so you can play it in sections or as one full map. Very well done!
