The Mines of Moria Campaign
From J.R.R. Tolkien's "Fellowship of the Ring"

I have completed my final set of maps to complete the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy of campaigns.

"Fellowship of the Ring" Download now available: Mines of Moria Campaign

Minimum Requirements: 2 ROTV, 2 FOTA, 1 RTTFF, & 2 Dungeons/Dragons. 2 Marvel sets are called out on the last map, but any set can be substituted.

To build all three boards at once, the Requirements are:
2 ROTV, 3 to 4 FOTA, 2 RTTFF, 2 Dungeons/Dragons, & 2 Marvel.

The Campaign
For Fellowship of the Rings, the campaign will goes through the Mines of Moria and includes:

1) The Watcher in the Water - The battle with the creature in the lake and entrance to the Mines of Moria



Suggested Enemies: the Watcher in the Water - Played by 2x Fen Hydra

2) Balin's Tomb or The Chamber of Mazrbul - The intense battle where the Fellowship of the Ring are trapped in two level room




Suggested Enemies: the Orcs & Cave Troll - Played by 3x Death Chasers & 1x Ogre Warhulk

3) The Bridge of Khazad-dum - Where the Fellowship fights the Balrog.



Suggested Enemy: Balrog - Played by Braxas

The Fellowship of the Ring


The campaign will give 650 points to allocate for the 9 figure Fellowship of the Ring. It will have the suggested Fellowship consisting of:

Gandalf - Played by Sonlen
Aragorn - Played by Tandros Kreel
Legolas - Played by Syvarris
Gimli - Played by Mogrimm Forgehammer
Boromir - Played by Sir Denrick
The Hobbits - Played by the Tarn Viking Warriors (four additional wound markers will be on the card. Every time a figure from the squad is hit, they will lose a marker. Once the markers are gone, they will lose Hobbits. Once all of the Hobbits are gone, the campaign will end since there will be no ring bearer.)

For the Watcher, I was considering using some Fen Hydras. What do you think?

I could really use help on the Balrog.

I've got all three maps sitting on my dining room table. We're going to do some playtesting today on them. I'll then be able to post the campaign with directions on how to make the maps.

I think these campaigns are just the greatest things. The maps you use are so perfect to the movies. It Awesome. I am going to do the helms deep campaign later looking foward to it. Also what is required for these maps.

Peteparkerh and I playtested this today and it was a blast. It was as much (if not more) fun playing this as i have had playing scape in some time. The maps are beautiful and play perfectly. The armies are well thought out and make sense and the rules are great. There are some great new rules that Pete and I came up with today to add a lot of fun to the game without being overpowered or distracting.
Anyone who has a chance to set this up and play it should definately do so.

As Spidysox said, wWe played the whole campaign today and it was a blast. I should have the downloads ready in the next couple of days.

We had to change the Fellowship a little to have it work right. Tandros was added for his ability to keep the threat off of the Hobbits.

I just reloaded the Campaign. I forgot one part and I made a minor change to the Bridge map. Braxas must stay on the white Marvel Hexes. No going up top.

Do you think you can design a Black gate scenario because I want to finish the trilogy but don't have enough castle for Minas Tirith?
