Borrowing ideas of johnny, what about something like:

When the chosen Hero or Seth is destroyed, return your Death Marker to this card. Seth will not take any leaving engagement attacks when moved by this special power.
I think it helps enforce the feel of them being locked in combat and that one of them is going to die. However, it's a ton of text and I worry it's not clear on how its supposed to work.

Hmm, I actually like that better, Karat, though I don't think the "can't attack other figures" part is needed, the auto-wound part pretty much forces them to go after each other; either that or die attacking other figures.

I'm also going to take a stab at rewording to shorten the text:

I don't have a problem with it. "Mark of Death" is a concrete noun - a tangible thing - while "Marked for Death" is more a state of being.

Also, I'm not sure we necessarily need to combine Slither and Disengage. Unless there's a space issue.

I like combining Slither and Disengage, personally. There's really no reason not to, since both powers have already been combined with others before.

Changing the wound to hitting the defending figure allows you to just not attack and skirt it. Do we want a "must attack" clause to prevent that?

How about we just put them in their own little world while they are engaged in their 1v1 battle?

Is the bolded bit intended to work only on their turns, or is it always in effect? I'm a little bit worried about being able to completely negate the other team's powers...

If it's only on their turns, I would do this:
