Re: What Got You Into C3G?
Heroscape! :P
Now more seriously, I play C3G rarely, but I enjoy it when I do. SLH was the first time I played but what got me into it was the Iron Man releases on the front page. I like Iron Man, make more metal suits! |

Re: What Got You Into C3G?
I think I would have a hard time getting into C3G if I started now. the list of units is huge and that would mean a lot of catching up to do.
I would like to see more versions of iconic characters. I would much rather see a second Wolverine than a B or C list character I haven't heard of. Its hard to encompass all of a characters traits on one card and I think second versions of recognizable characters help with that. It would probably help generate more excitement for the project too. |

I think second versions of some more characters would be a good step too. Probably not too often though, cause I imagine that people would get upset at seeing the same names over and over, but some of the bigger guys deserve them for sure. I wouldn't mind an X-Men Wolverine, complete with the yellow, or brown, suit (but go for a newer mini since the older one has no quality control whatsoever). Unmounted Ghost Rider would be sick too. Symbiote Spider-Man, although arguably a new figure vs a "II", is up there too. As fun as B/C-list characters are, and I do feel releases wouldn't be complete without them, they don't really see the light of day within my group. The release happens, we read the cards and think "Man, that's a pretty cool power" and that's that. Off to print Thanos and the Infinity Gems. |

Re: What Got You Into C3G?
What got me into C3G was, the release of the FF4 master set. It was on the front page so it wasn't hard to miss.
I had been lurking for a while, and with the last classic Scape wave in the rear view mirror, I was looking for some new units to try out on the gaming table. I downloaded several of the well known characters and we all had a blast playing them. After that we was hooked. I printed a few dozen each week until I had them all. Then we all looked forward to the next release which was the one with the Hydra and the C3G version Red skull, I believe. The amount of available units was a great selling point for me. Re: What Got You Into C3G?
I always enjoyed making maps, first with Landscape then with Virtualscape. I somehow got noticed and was asked to join the C3G mapmaking group. I have several finalized maps now in that group, including Savage Land - a mega-map of which I'm really proud.

Re: What Got You Into C3G?
For me, it was...the Closer. My brother introduced it to me..and I'd always been a fan of Super Heroes and Villains even if I had never picked up a comic book prior to joining C3G. More particularly, I have a passion for Mutants and all things Undead, so naturally most of my design choices have revolved around Such things..but when none of them really got chosen I'd pick up a random clix figure that didn't have a design and caught my eye and look them up. I learned to broaden my horizon a bit and the infection spread from there.

Re: What Got You Into C3G?
You may remember, but I was aware of the C3G when the idea was being brainstormed. I remember commenting that I was looking forward to seeing where it would go, and that if things had been different for me at the time, I likely would have been active in getting it started.
The reason I was immediately interested in it was because I had the Marvel: The Conflict Begins, recognized that it had a very different feel to it than the other heroscape stuff, and wanted more super heroes to add to it. I'd printed off different ones from various designers on this site, and put a couple together myself, and they were fun, but I knew it would be a lot better if everything was designed together within one system. This doesn't have to do with the question, but I felt like adding it...
Spoiler Alert!

Re: What Got You Into C3G?
I don't think this is news for you, but I was hooked by the online supers-scape events. I started paying attention between waves 15 and 16.

Yeah, I think those online events have really paid off for us!
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: What Got You Into C3G?
You two get a room...
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |
