Thanos didn't even use the power stone when he fought Hulk in Infinity War. The stone lights up when it's in use. I guess Eternals are just way powerful/durable.

Ultimately, when it comes to something like the infinity gems, you have to limit what can be done with their “limitless power” or else the story totally breaks down. Why didn’t Tony just make a perfect copy of himself to take his place? Why didn’t Thanos just double the resources in the universe instead of killing half the people? (Although I think Endgame shows that Thanos is really just a psychopath who hides it under his supposedly noble purpose.)

Doubling the resources doesn't solve the problem at all, the core issue he is trying to solve is over crowding in a finite space. You make 1 more planet for every planet that exists, but how is a species without the ability to leave their planet suppose to suddenly move half their people to the new planet? Would half the people even be willing to leave their homes for a new planet where they have to start over from scratch? Do you use the stones to force half the population to move to a new planet? What makes that any different than killing half of them? You still are ripping families apart, for those left behind it's the same thing as if they were killed since they don't know where in the universe they are now. They just suddenly disappeared from their lives. You can't double the size of the planet they are already on, double the mass of a planet and the gravity well changes dramatically. The people living there would most likely die as a result. It would also throw the orbits of the solar system out of whack, the new bigger planets would migrate into different orbits farther away from the sun, less light and heat would kill off more species.

Does the Ant-Man physics bother anyone else? The whole concept is that things shrink while still retaining their mass, but then they ignore that a lot of the time. Like the "flick" in Endgame, or the Thomas the Tank Engine scene in Ant-Man 2. Or the cars and buildings that get shrunk and become instantly portable.

Should I just suspend my disbelief a little harder?

I don't think Ant-Man is suppose to still weigh 180 lbs or whatever Scott weighs when he is the size of an Ant, if he did he couldn't ride on the back of an Ant.

Yeah, but he still punches with the force of a fully grown adult, even when tiny. They explain it in the first movie as like... shrinking the space between atoms or something like that.

But yeah it makes no sense. It works both ways depending on what the script says from page to page.

I think it's all about "increasing his density" and not necessarily maintaining his mass.
