[TGRF]

I only include a fan fiction once it has about two pages. The Price of Un-Life has one. It's getting close though!
@ Dadnarg I rate authors based on the average ratings of all their indexed fictions. It used to be that I would send out PMs to all the active authors, but this way, no one is missed, and it is a lot more reliable. A fiction also has to have more than one vote in order to add to the author's rating. I'm thinking about upping it to two, because first place snuck in with only two, while the people with several fictions have a lot better rating.

UPDATE Updated author rankings yet again. Now added that you have to have two votes on your fiction before ti can contribute to your rating, and updated the author ratings. They stand as follows: The 15th Bumper in first; Akralon, me, and the Blade of the Orc all in second; and the 434th Dadnarg and the Knight of Meta in third.

I am going to include a brief description of each item. If you would like to write your description of your own fiction or art, PM me and I'll insert it.
I have also decided to include a rating for each item. Once I have all the links in, I will PM those that have commented on the article in question and ask them what rating they would give the article. The rating system will go something like this:

2: Good
3:Very Good
4:Excellent
5:Incredible
They will give me one of these numbers, and I will average the rating out and post it here. Please note that these ratings are averages of all the votes, and do not reflect anyone's personal opinion.
I will also include a status. The statuses for the fiction will be as follows:
Active: Chapters are being posted, and the fiction is not yet complete.
Completed: Completed.
Not Active: Partially completed, but not being updated. This also includes something that has been dropped.
Being Written: Being written, but hasn't been posted yet. Obviously there will be no links for these.

New to Fan Fiction? This is where you start. Based on ratings, statuses, and other information, I have compiled this small section of the index for users new to the forum. If you’re not sure where to start reading, look through these, pick which one looks good, and begin!
Not all of these are novels of epic length, so you can read them easily within a few sittings. They are all the highest rated fiction in their category, as well. I add points for different aspects, just to have a better rating understanding here. The real rating is the one listed, however.
So, pick what sounds good, and enjoy!

Best classical ‘Scape Fiction.
These are fictions that are filled with the classic touch of HeroScape. Ninjas, Soldiers, Soulborgs, it’s all in there.

Best Classical HERO-Scape Fiction
These are fictions that follow a single person. They are also classical ‘Scape. The difference between these and plain Classical ‘Scape fictions are that these remain more isolated, while the others are more open, and introduce a wider variety of characters. There are two that are tied for this position, both excellent.

Kit: Young Ninja Rating: 4.7, Status: Completed
Out of nowhere, OB sprung this instant classic on all the other authors. It perfectly fits the category, and is one of the best fan fictions anywhere. It is also continued with a sequel, Vengeance.

The Wind in the Trees Rating 4.7, Status: Completed
Much like OB, bumper15 also appeared out of nowhere with this incredible fan fiction. Bumper15 almost immediately became one of the highest rated authors on the site, and all through the Wind in the Trees, a must for any fan fiction reader.

Best Underdark HeroScape Fiction
As the title suggests, these are fictions that center around, or have a lot, of the Underdark theme.

These are fictions that do not follow the line of HeroScape. Even so, most of them are quite good.

Orcs Blade masterfully relates how Kit's friend, Derrick, is banished from their village. Determined to stay with his friend, Kit starts out after Derrick, but soon discovers that more is happening than he suspected. Full of humor and engagingness, Orcs Blade has written this fan fic in short chapters, making it easier to read. The best part of it all is that there is a sequel to it, Vengeance.

The fan art contest works much the same way as the fan fic contest. It has the same general rules and guidelines. The only difference is the art. While some of us feel that drawing may simply not be what we are best at, Wonderball has made it clear that the contest will be judged according to creativity, and not skill. Although not active, it is only because there was not enough interest in it. Wonderball will be happy to continue it. Feel free to drop by and submit your drawing.

A broad topic is introduced, several characters made by different people, and a great fan fiction is born full of adversity, detail, and engagingness. Different people post, writing the story from their own character's view. If you want something to read that is bound to meet your interests, read the Prison Faction. (I have not read it yet, and am speaking in theory.)

The comics feature Chedwick - a marro drone - and Sven - a Tarn Viking Warrior, and their many adventures. Occasionally a friendly Zombie by the name of Steve shambles in and once the three of them meet up with a stampeding herd of Deathreavers. Whichever way you look at it, these comics are a must see!

And no, something like this isn't completed that fast. I am almost done though. Last I checked, teh original index was somewhere on page three. IAmBatman unstickied it because it was out of date. I have not indexed every single last thing in the forum obviously, only the last thirty pages I think. If there is something that is beyond that range, but should definitely be indexed, please let me know and provide a link. Thanks.

I am figuring on overtaking a spot up there. I am releasing my newest fan fiction The Final Entry of Thormund's Journal. An intriguing story of the time following the great war against Utgar. His armies have scattered or returned to their worlds, the wellsprings have decayed, militias and barons rise to power, and the only light in the suffering world is Jandon, Jandar's core lands which are ruled by Drake and Raelin's eldest son, Raelor. Rangers roam freely led by Slink's second son Salen'ek, and accompanied by Drake's second son, Karth they are the peacekeepers of all the lands under their influence.

The Ashen Mere is officially completed.

His armies have scattered or returned to their worlds, the wellsprings have decayed, militias and barons rise to power, and the only light in the suffering world is Jandon, Jandar's core lands which are ruled by Drake and Raelin's eldest son, Raelor. Rangers roam freely led by Slink's second son Salen'ek, and accompanied by Drake's second son, Karth they are the peacekeepers of all the lands under their influence.

The Ashen Mere is officially completed.

Whoa. That sounds good. Really good. If you build the setting the way you did the Ashen Mere, you could very easily overtake one of those spots. Don't jump into the action too soon, keep the pace steady. That plot sounds way too good to rush.
