DESIGNERS) It is the Designer's job to continually discuss and create new additions to the game of Heroscape.
- The Designers will first discuss what they want to design, then find a miniature(s) that they want to use for the design.
- When the Designers have an idea of something they want to work on, they will agree on who the Lead Designer (LD) will be.
- The LD will start a thread in the C3V Designers Corner using this Design Template as the first post and the title of the thread must say "Design" so that all other sub-groups know not to comment in that thread. The LD will post his/her name on the first post in the design thread.
- The Designer's sub-group will continue to discuss and work on the overall design of the work in progress in its newly created thread.
- Once the Designers have the design to a point that they would like to see it move forward, the Designers must change the design's title to say "Sanctum Review" and alert the C3V Sanctum Members by having a Moderator or Administrator move the design thread into the
C3V Inner Sanctum. There, all C3V Sanctum Members will have 48 hours to discuss the design and give any ideas or suggestions for the design.
- When the 48 hours are over, the Designers must change the design's title to say "E.R.B" and alert them that the design is now their responsibility by having a Moderator or Administrator move it into the
C3V Executive Review Board.
- If at any point any sub-group sends a design back to the Designers with a fail, it is the Designer's job to either scrap the design, or attempt to adjust it and send it back to the group that failed it.
E.R.B.) It is the E.R.B.'s job to review each design and discuss the big picture and direct the group in a way that fits the Heroscape aesthetic giving C3V a long term vision and big picture. E.R.B. can comment in any C3V thread at any time, as they are the watch dogs of the group's direction and long term vision.
- Once the Designers have sent the design to the E.R.B.'s sub-group, the E.R.B. will discuss whether or not the design fits the big picture of C3V.
- After discussing the design in its entirety, the E.R.B. will decide to pass or fail the design. If it Passes, the E.R.B. will change its title to say "Editing" and alert the Editing Team that the design is now their responsibility by having a Moderator or Administrator move it into the
C3V Editing Room. If it Fails, the E.R.B. will change is title to say "Design" and alert them that the design is now their responsibility by having a Moderator or Administrator move it into the
C3V Designers Corner and inform them why it has failed.
- After a design has passed Finalization, the E.R.B. will place the design in the
On Deck Thread with a "Books of" title until it is released.
- The E.R.B will decide when and how to release designs that are in the
On Deck Thread. And once a design is released, the E.R.B. will move the design's book to the public
C3V Books Of Index.
EDITORS) It is the Editors' job to review the grammar and textual aesthetics of the card and correct the text if necessary.
- Once the E.R.B. have sent the design to the C3V Editing Room, the Editors will discuss any potential wording changes that may need to be made.
- When the Editors have agreed on any wording changes that may need to be made, they will alert the Lead Designer and the Lead Playtester listed on the front page, of their intended changes to ensure that the new wording will not contradict the intention or how it was played.
- As soon as both the Lead Designer and the Lead Playtester have agreed that the new wording supports the original intention and application, the Editors can decide whether or not to pass the wording of the design.
- Once the Editors agree on the wording of the design, the Editors will change the name of the design's title to say "Playtesting" and then alert them that the design is now their responsibility by having a Moderator or Administrator move it into the
C3V Playtester Corner.
PLAYTESTERS) It is the Playtesters' job to playtest each design sent to them by the C3V Editing Team.
- Once the design has been sent to the Playtesters, any of them are free to run as many playtests as they'd like using the design. The Playtesting team as a whole is responsible for discussing the design, the results of the playtests and what those results may or may not suggest. Once the Playtesting Team feels they have reached a general consensus, they must vote to pass or fail the design. If it Fails, it is renamed "Design" and returned to the
Designer's Corner. If it Passes, the Playtesters must choose a single Lead Playtester (LP) to be responsible for the design. The chosen LP will remain the LP for the remainder of the design's full production by linking his/her name on the front page of the design.
- The LP will change the name of the design's title to say "Public Testing" and then alert the
Public Testing Thread of the name of the design and that it is open for Testing. Then the Public Playtesters can sign up and PM the Lead Playtester for the necessary information and PM him/her with the results by filling out this
Public Playtesting Sheet.
- The LP will post each public playtest in the private Design thread, and link each public playtest on the front page.
-Once the Lead Playtester is satisfied with the results of the Public Playtests, he may then propose to the rest of the Playtesters that the design move to the Art Department. If the proposal Passes, the E.R.B. will change its title to say "Art" and alert the Art Department that the design is now their responsibility by moving it to the
C3V Art Department.. If the proposal Fails, the Playtesting Team will alert the Design Team and inform them that the design is now their responsibility by having a Moderator or Administrator move it into the
C3V Designers Corner.
ARTISTS) It is the Artists' job to create a finished downloadable/printable product of the design.
- Once the Playtesters have sent the design to the Artists' sub-group, the Artists must choose a single Lead Artist (LA) to be responsible for the design. The chosen LA will remain the LA for the remainder of the design's full production.
- The LA will be responsible for acquiring a high resolution picture of the selected miniature(s), unless at this point in time, a picture or pictures have already been posted.
- If the miniature(s) have been modified in any way (paint, glue, molding, etc), then it is the LA's responsibility to acquire a tutorial on how to create the featured miniature.
- The Artists will discuss which picture to use and any detail that is relevant to the design.
- Once the Artists have agreed on how the design should be done, the LA will create the final product.
- The Artists will review the product and decide whether or not any changes are necessary.
- Once the Artists have agreed on the final product, a PDF will be made.
- Then the Artists will compare that PDF to the JPG design to ensure that nothing was lost.
- When the Artists decide that the work is done, the Artists will post the JPG of the design in the first post along with a link of the PDF and then change the name of the title of the design's thread to say "Finalize", and the LA will post a proposal to finalize the design in the
Final Voting Thread. There, every C3V Member can vote.
