UTAH MONTHLY MAY 2023

Location: Game Haven Sandy (9860 S. 700 E. Sandy, UT 84070)

When: May 27th, 1:00 - 5:00 PM (Please arrive 10 minutes early to register)

Cost: FREE!! This month we will have no entry fees. There will also be no prizes, other than the raffle prize.

Format: Delta Reverse-The-Whip
It's that time of year to put on your Heroscape jersey and try your hand at the big bad format: Reverse-the-Whip! Every other round you will be playing your opponent's army. Specifically, Round 1 you will play your opponent's army, Round 2 you will play your own army, Round 3 you play your opponent's army, and Round 4 you play your own to finish it off.

Hint time: Reverse-the-Whip is a staple competitive format, but if you're new to it, just be sure to realize that you both have to win with and win against what you brought.

We will also be using Delta pricing this month. The main Delta thread is here.

You will be paired with a different person to be your teammate for each game.

Format: Quad Pod 250
Each player will bring four mini armies (or pods), and at the beginning of each round, players will pool their armies together (making eight available armies) and then draft two pods to create their army.

• 250 point armies
• 10 figure limit
• You may not have the same army card in more than one army
• C3V & SoV allowed, Official Marvel NOT allowed this month
• Power Glyphs: Unique Attack +1, Move +2, Initiative +8, D20 +2, Wound
• Treasure Glyphs: Move +4, Attack +2, Defense +3, Disengage
• Four 50-minute rounds

Before the game, the two players roll the D20; high roll chooses to be Player A or Player B.
Player A selects one of the 8 pods to play.
Player B then selects two of the remaining 7 pods to play.
Player A then selects one of the remaining 5 pods to play.

If all four of your pods are drafted by opponents over the course of the tournament, you will be entered into a raffle for a sweet prize!

If a game goes to time, the winner will be determined by scoring (unless otherwise stated by the month's format). Scoring will be done by partial card scoring, meaning that each squad figure killed and each wound on a hero will count as points killed. Scores are calculated for figures remaining on the battlefield, and figures that have not entered the battlefield (such as Airborne Elite that have not dropped) do not count for points.

To aid with scoring, players can use the partial card scoring calculator here.

UTAH MONTHLY November 2023

Location: Game Haven Sandy (9860 S. 700 E. Sandy, UT 84070)

When: December 16th, 1:00 - 5:00 PM (Please arrive 10 minutes early to register)

Cost: White Elephant!! Your entry fee this month is a prize for the prize table! Please bring a prize that is wrapped (doesn’t have to be fancy — a paper/plastic bag will work as long as you can’t see the prize). It can be Heroscape-related or not, as long as you think it is something everyone will enjoy!
(As a guideline, something around the $5 mark will be great. Of course, you can be more generous if you want, but that’s about the amount we’re used to already anyway.)

Format: Jingle Bell Bash - Delta Bring 2
It's Jingle Bell Bash time, which means smaller point armies and fast maps to allow for quick rounds! This year we're going back to our roots with Bring 2, but we'll give it a twist by using Delta points. Bring two 315-point armies! At the start of each game, you will roll the d20 against your opponent. Higher roll gets first pick of the four armies (your two and your opponent’s two), or you can choose to defer and let the opponent pick first.

• Two 315 Point Armies (using delta points)
• 10 figure limit
• C3V & SoV allowed, Official Marvel NOT allowed this month
• Power Glyphs: Unique Attack +1, Move +2, Initiative +8, D20 +2, Wound
