I don't know anything about what his personality was as a wee lad so I'll let those that know him figure this one out. Though Timid sounds like someone that is kind of scared all the time. Is that something Superboy is, scared? Or is he Shy, Secretive or Innocent?

I prefer something like "Reluctant" or "Reserved" to show he's holding back due to a desire not to hurt anyone rather than he's scared or timid.
