Re: The Book of Chernobyl
With a few Street Fighter designs moving through the public play testing, are their any Chernobyl themed boards in the video game we can use the name of?
*edit* googled Street Fighter & Chernobyl and a different video game came up called Shadow of Chernobyl. That seems like a pretty cool name for the map. |

Chernobyl Gardens
Streets of Chernobyl As for the glyphs, I'm now thinking you randomly place one Glyph of Wannak (Wound) and one Glyph of Proftaka (Pit Trap) face down on spaces directly in front of each wall. Then you have a 50/50 chance of either dishing out radiation wounds (95% opponent/5% self) or you find your self stuck in a trap. |

Re: The Book of Chernobyl
You could even randomly pick 2 from a pool of 2 Wannoks and 2 Proftakas.

Re: The Book of Chernobyl
Umm, while I'm personally a big fan of the Wannok glyph (not as huge on Proftaka though), I thought there had been a big argument in the Crash Landing thread about the Wannok glyph and it had been decided that Wannok shouldn't be used on C3G competitive maps. Have we changed our mind on that or am I just misremembering?
Otherwise, I think this map looks pretty awesome (and, by the way, Island Plane Crash is possibly my new favorite C3G map). C3G: Taking Superheroes to a Whole New Level! Re: The Book of Chernobyl
I'm pretty good with the Pit Trap/Wound glyph trade off as far as risk & balance. The glyph is adj. to some high ground as well as a wall to shield a figures approach. So you really are only going to want to try for the glyph on OM3 and then you might find yourself stuck without knowing who will win initiative and go first. But if you can throw a wound on Hulk/Superman/Spiderman/Flash it will be worth the risk.

I just built this and it looks really nice! I'm going to run some tests on it today.

Re: The Book of Chernobyl
Awesome! I have it built right now as well and used it for some HoSS tests this week. Since HoSS doesn't have the flying units C3G has I don't consider it an official playtest for us but it played well for me none-the-less. Perhaps we should move this into public playtesting and quozls tests can then be counted. Just need to make some final decisions on name & glyphs. I think I like Conflict Chernobyl for a name, and the random 2 Pit Trap/2 Wound glyph pool idea best. So.....
I propose we move Conflict Chernobyl into Public Playtesting. Yodaking - Yea @A3n - Yea @johnny139 - Yea @quozl - Yea @Smithy Winfred - @Taeblewalker - Yea @Zettian Juggernaut - Yea Last edited by Yodaking; December 13th, 2014 at 03:45 AM. |

Re: The Book of Conflict Chernobyl - Vote Public PT
I think putting the glyphs behind the ruins next to the asphalt 2-hexers would be better. The sides don't seem to get used too much except as high speed express routes to the other startzone.
