If anyone's interested on my thoughts on Batman Vs Superman and Daredevil season 2:

Batman Vs. Superman

We all know it's not a great film. But my biggest beef with it wasn't the plot or acting or anything like that. The editing was horrible. The first half of the movie was a mishmash of scenes thrown together in the most awkward way possible. It felt more like a trailer than a coherent film. One of the worst offenders: They added the scene with WW giving Bruce his device back in a party and talked about that fancy sword. Just to give the device back. If you have to add an entire scene just to wrap up a plotline you didn't know whatelse to do with, you shouldn't be doing it. Just, you know... DON'T HAVE WW STEAL IT! Ugh.

And the Batmobile chase scene was the worst chase scene I've ever seen. Or rather, didn't see. I couldn't tell what the heck was happening, the camera work was so... all over the place. Headlights in my face. Mess.

And teasers for the other Justice League films were horribly out of place. Too many easter eggs takes away from the film we're trying to currently watch, which is why I love after credit easter eggs.

Otherwise, I think Affleck was fantastic as Batman. The Bat's portrayal here was phenomenal. I wish they explored his cynicism a bit more and talked about why he's killing now, but I understand they ran out of time for that. Superman felt flat though. Shame.

The actual battle between the two of them was great. Expect for when Batman tied that rope to Superman's foot and flung him around in the weirdest case of "what the physics just happened."

I loved Lex, which was another common complaint. He was great.

Daredevil S2

Spoiler Alert!

Punisher and Elektra were great, loved their portrayals. The hand plot was a bit weird, and there's still so many unanswered questions that I feel like it took away a little of the gravity because I was trying to figure out what's going on with that massive hole and the Black Sky stuff.

I think I prefer the plot of Season 1, but I still definitely loved it. Stick having a bigger role was cool, he's such a fun character. Yeah, he's pretty much a bad guy and a huge dick, but he's so entertaining. Love him.

Seeing Kingpin again was a nice surprise. Hoping Season 3 will keep answering questions. And also hoping Bullseye won't show up just to kill Karen.

I've said before that I don't watch movies to critique them but to escape. So it probably doesn't surprise you to hear that I really enjoyed BvS. But even so, I really hated Lex. It was terribly over-acted & not cannon Lex at all. I would say the acting was better suited to the Joker. I believed the same scheme/plans could have been completed with a more stately, composed, intelligent Lex.

I'm under the belief that that's actually Lex's son. He states several times throughout the movie things about his father, such as "My Dad puts the Lex in LexCorp" and "this is my father's house" etc. Which is honestly why I was able to enjoy the character as much as I did, because IMO, that wasn't supposed to be the Lex as we knew him, it's his son or clone or something. In which case, it makes sense why he's an awkward spoiled little brat type of character. Being born into that giant fortune with a father that probably never gave him any attention...it fits.

Yeah, pretty sure it's been publicly verified that it's Lex Luthor Jr. Not sure why they made the choice to go with that character, but it's part of why I'm OK with such a non-traditional approach as well (though Lex has, obviously, been portrayed in a millieu of fashions over the years).

I went and watched BvS. I think its going to take several hours of Superfriends to make me like the characters again.

I bought Standoff and all tie-ins so far, also dropped 60 on walking dead omnibus #3

Standoff had a few too many tie-ins for me. What is it, a 16-part crossover? I'm a little curious because they're launching the new Thunderbolts book out of it, but I decided to switch to Marvel Unlimited for my Marvel fix anyhow. Maybe I'll read it when it comes to Unlimited.

The only Marvel book I'm still buying in issues is Vision. I'll also be picking up Thunderbolts in issues when it starts coming out.

Luckily most of the Standoff tie-ins are self-contained. ANAD Avengers + Uncanny Avengers, then SHIELD + New Avengers, and then the other random ones. Really, the entire thing could have been a story arc in Captain America. Not sure why they needed to drag the Avengers into it.
