Yeah, still haven't updated my test since I'm not sure what's going on. Also, I'll probably start testing Ymir.

Do you think this custom would pass the SoV? Why or why not?
Ya got me. Needs more testing. As far as canon goes, no not really. 'Scape already has a Giant whose Ice-styled. But, maybe Thunderous Smash is a reference to thunder and not just massive rumblings?
No, I don't think so. He is a bit too strong as is. Maybe a slight point bump (Personally, I'd like to see him at 200.)

Are all the powers on this card usable?
Seems like the only power is. From my first test alone, I see it might be fairly difficult to always make use of that potential 3 targets, but I was able to hit 2 at a time fairly often.
Look up.

What changes would you recommend making to this custom if any?

I really don't like the concept of dropping any of his stats. His focal point appears to be high stats, but no synergies (unless there is some sort of custom with Giant bonding), and as a really high-cost hero he does need this. Think Q9, but melee, and you have an idea of how he fits into an army. I strongly suggest bumping him to around 200. I haven't tested him at that cost, but as you'll see in the next answer...

From first looks, Ymir seems like a unit whose fairly stand alone, which for his cost means that he's really hard to fit in many army builds where is really fluid in. But, Scytale takes advantage of this by giving hms excellent stats and the ability to pretty much rush in a crush whatever is in his path by sheer brute force alone. It worked well enough in my first test.
Ymir appears to be a big blend of several things at once. As I've said before, he looks alot like a melee Q9. Well, he also has the stats of a melee Q9 (heightened HPs and an increased movement score). During my two tests so far I have found nothing to really encourage getting near him (even if they were dwarves, should their attacks prove to be as effective as the Zombies' were, they wouldn't live to attack again). And, as a really big guy, this is expected. Now to compare him to a unit who isn't broken beyond repair (Q9 is A+ for a reason), he looks a lot like Tandros. Both units share good endurance and have an ability that lets their attacks strike more than one unit. Tandros comes built with a weak ranged attack and Combat Challenge (which is a problem for him, as it means he is meant to be killed faster than expected), while Ymir has size immunities and the ability to target 1 extra unit with no notable restrictions. They both also have a hard time fitting into army builds because of their roles on the battlefield. Sure Tandros makes a great protector (and Ymir a great Destoyer), but picking between taking turns with him and whatever else he's with can prove tricky and typically innefective. Ymir does have the move and raw detructive power to make up for this, but with a significant price cost (180 as of this writing).

ARMY TEST 1
(Warning: Wall of text)

Map: "ShadowDash"
Units: Army 1: Ymir, Thorgrim, Eldgrim, Knights x3 (500 pts) VS Army 2: Sudema (official, not my Revised one...), Zombies x6 (500 pts) Glyphs in play [4 random power ones and Bracers of Teleportation (Single Use. Teleport 10 spaces. Use instead of Move)]

Round 1: P2 wins init. (19-12)
Zombies advance and claim Wannok (Wound Glyph). P1 overextends Eldgrim to claim Valda (Bonus 2 Move), while the bumbling Knights grab Mitionsoul and accidentally kill off two of their own (apparently the Undead are super resistant to a Massive Curse ). Zombies then proceed to dig up Astrid (Bonus 1 Attack). Eld's overextesion lets him put 2 zombies in the grave, with one of the knights quickly being sure to reclaim Valda. The Zombies advance some more and fail at doing anything. Eldgrim whacks the Zombie on Wannok and then commits suicide, all in the name of a +1 movement bonus for Ymir. The knights kill off 2 of the walking dead.
Round 2: P2 wins init. (20-18 )
The Zombies reclaim one of their own... Not even Astrid boosted Zombies are effective agains the Silver-Armored Soldiers. The knights kill off 2 more Zombies on the swamplands, dwindling their numbers and further weakening their map control. Another zombie is revived in a nice bloody mess (the knight even had height). Thorgrim hops into the central strwam of shadow spaces to gnab the Teleporting Bracers. His followers manage to slash 2 more zombies up. The Queen of the Dead picks up Wannok and spots a poor knight, turning him into a statue. In a fit for not being unleashed Round 1, the Giant rages toward the enemy with an impressive move of 9, and obliterates 2 zombies. Wannok hits Thorgrim.
Round 3: P2 wins init. (15-7)
Sudema's stare gives Thorgrim a much earlier grave than one would expect. Ymir brings down the hammer on Sudema, only inflicting a wound but he did do some kung-fu on a nearby zombie to kill it as well. Zombies do nothing useful. Losing their ringleader is quite disheartening, but after rallying the Knights kill 2 more zombies with a bloody zeal. Sudema tries to do to Ymir what she did to so many before him but fail... He's too busy dealing with the zombies swarming him to pay any attention to her; he'll be sleeping on the couch later. One more Zombie bites the bites the dust.
Round 4: P2 wins init. (20-17)
Thinking that she'll be dead in a turn, Sudema tries to turn Ymir to Stone but failed. Likewise, Ymir's big ol' mace ends up hitting a nearby rock outcrop... not his desired target. The Zombies bring back 2 of their own, reclaiming Wannok in the process. Sudema took another hit by the force of Death-Mace-Of-Thunder+4 and a zombie is sent flying in the shock. The zombies start picking up some momentum by killing 2 more knights. Knights didnt do anything speical.
Round 5: P2 wins init. (20-12)
Sudema's cheap attack fails to one-shot Ymir... again. Ymir crushes a zombie and hurts Sudema for another wound, while hopping into the Dark-Stream, for the bonus to defense. A stray knight gets eaten by a pack of Zombies and then Ymir proves 6 defense is the best defense against a few Zombie bites. Ymir whiffs. Ymir received a wound, while a zombie destroys a knight. Luck changing, Ymir hits a Yahtzee of skulls killing Sudema and 2 of the 4 surrounding corpses.
Round 6: P2 wins init. (6-2)
Ymir kills two zombies. Then two more. Then two more after one actually bites him (inflicting a wound).
Round 7: P1 wins init. (7-6)
Ymir basically laughs as the last two zombies die under his massive mace.

Remains of Battle: Ymir: 6 HPs.

ARMY TEST 2
(short, because of luck issues)

Units: Army 1: Ymir, Airborne Elite, Isamu(300 pts) VS Army 2: Darrak, Guilty McCreech, Dwarves x3 (300 pts) Glyph in play: Bolt of Witherwood (that treasure glyph that works just like Atlaga's Bolt)
Notes: Darrak has map advantage (his Hide In Darkness works well on the Shadow and Dugeon spaces).
Pretty much the dwarves killed off Ymir before the AE could drop, thus winning the game. It was over in 3 rounds... The Dwarves were rolling very well, inflicing the entire 8 wounds within 3 turns

Great playtest write-up. I've had a nagging feeling that he's a bit too cheap, especially when compared to Jotun. But then comparing him to Nilfheim, he seems about right. My own testing is up and down, which is expected for a figure of high point cost -- could dominate or collapse depending on defense dice rolls. How would you feel about 190?

I suppose he'd work at 190. I merely chose 200 because its nice and even (plus its a very good number in general in 'Scape because of how easy it is to implement into an army, like any number that is a multiple of 50).

I had thought about saying he should be at 190, but then I still feel thats a tad too cheap. I was basically going back and forth in my mind at what price cost he should be. I'd probably be willing to test him again at 190 tomorrow (as I have another thing I'm working on later).

I didn't see any maximum limit (I was thinking it was 3 units, but I suppose not).
