Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
Weird. I posted this morning about a question regarding Rebel Vigilante Sidekick and whether the Batman you revealed the OM on would be able to take his turn after Robin because the power says you can't take a turn with any other figures you control--and the question was whether that was the intent--but now the post is just gone.

Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
Quote:
REBEL VIGILANTE SIDEKICK After revealing an Order Marker on the Army Card of a Vigilante you control, you must immediately roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 6 or lower, before taking a turn with that Vigilante, you must take an immediate turn with Robin, then take a turn with that Vigilante. If you roll 7 or higher, after taking a turn with that Vigilante, you may take an immediate turn with Robin. If Robin takes a turn with this special power, you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
The compound turns with the 'must' is helpful, but we should remember to FAQ it because I don't think there is a completely clear and concise way to say what you want the player to be able to do.

Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
For the last line, how about "After using Rebel Vigilante Sidekick, you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control."?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
I don't mind that wording, but I think it would complicate the original wording as much as it would help (since you could interpret "using Rebel Vigilante Sidekick" as rolling the 20-sided die to begin with).

Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
That's rolling for Rebel Sidekick, though. Using it is using the whole power. Makes sense to me, anyway.

Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
Since the "then" parts of the die roll are verbally long, you could bullet them and have the last line be outside the bullet points.

Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
Thinking a bit, how does this feel?
REBEL VIGILANTE SIDEKICK After revealing an Order Marker on the Army Card of a Vigilante you control, you must immediately roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 6 or lower, before taking a turn with that Vigilante, you must take an immediate turn with Robin. If you roll 7 or higher, after taking a turn with that Vigilante, you may take an immediate turn with Robin. After using Rebel Vigilante Sidekick, you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control other than that Vigilante. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Robin (Jason Todd) (Design Phase)
C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Robin (Jason Todd) - THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them. PASS - MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game. PASS - BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding. PASS - SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit too powerful or too weak. PASS - POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any. PASS - FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play. PASS - FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against. PASS - DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting. PASS (If he's at a new price point, at least; there's already Vigilante Sidekicks at 60 and 80, so...) - USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable. PASS - STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game. PASS Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 60-70 POINTS - Give a brief overview. Jason puts up a much better defense than I'd expected - I think it was as much luck as anything else, though. He'll probably end up closer to the 50-60 range when in the presence of a Vigilante.
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 50 POINTS - Give a brief overview. Inmates just barely take Jason out. Map: Country Road Units: Robin: Jason Todd (60 Points) vs. Arkham Inmates (60 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Squad Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 60-70 POINTS - Give a brief overview. Robin takes them both out in a jiffy. Map: Country Road Units: Robin: Jason Todd (50 Points) vs. Bad Cops (55 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 40-50 POINTS - Give a brief overview. The downside of Rebel Vigilante Sidekick never came into play, but the advantage of unlimited range did (letting him stack a turn with Batarang Cannon). He didn't get to do much, though, other than provide Spoiler with a turn necessary to taking out Harley. Map: Country Road Units: Robin: Jason Todd, Batman: Bruce Wayne (II), Catgirl, Batgirl: Cassandra Cain, Spoiler (550 Points) vs. Joker (I), Green Goblin, Harley Quinn (550 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 40-50 POINTS - Give a brief overview. Huh... not sure why I thought this matchup would be good for anybody! The Kree just run rampant, Jason never gets a turn (despite statistically being very likely to steal one). Map: Country Road Units: Robin: Jason Todd, Robin: Dick Grayson, Robin: Tim Drake, Robin: Damian Wayne, Batman: Bruce Wayne, Batman: Terry McGinnis, Rorschach, Venom (1000 Points) vs. Ronan, Captain Marvel: Mar-Vell, Kree Scout x6 (1000 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
_____________________________________________________________ Army Test - Does it pass, Yes or No? YES! - What should be the unit's point value? 40-70 POINTS - Give a brief overview. This time, Jason stole one turn and was able to put the final wound on Molly. He's as useful as any other Robin, just cheaper, hopefully. Map: Country Road Units: Robin: Jason Todd, Huntress, Rorschach, Nite Owl, Robin: Dick Grayson (600 Points) vs. Blob, Toad, Molly Hayes, Armor, Jubilee (610 Points)
Spoiler Alert!
FINAL THOUGHTS: I dunno; really, he didn't have a spectacular showing either way. Looking at other Sidekick choices, he's closest to Damian. He's slower, less powerful, and with the potential detriment... but he strikes me as better than most of the options at 60. I'd like to put him at 70, since there's no Sidekicks at that price point, but he might end up being worth less. We'll up his Life if so, I guess? JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!
