Weird. I posted this morning about a question regarding Rebel Vigilante Sidekick and whether the Batman you revealed the OM on would be able to take his turn after Robin because the power says you can't take a turn with any other figures you control--and the question was whether that was the intent--but now the post is just gone.

Intent is that Batman would still take a turn, but I can see how that wording is murky. How's this?

REBEL VIGILANTE SIDEKICK
After revealing an Order Marker on the Army Card of a Vigilante you control, you must immediately roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 6 or lower, before taking a turn with that Vigilante, you must take an immediate turn with Robin, then take a turn with that Vigilante. If you roll 7 or higher, after taking a turn with that Vigilante, you may take an immediate turn with Robin. If Robin takes a turn with this special power, you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control.

The compound turns with the 'must' is helpful, but we should remember to FAQ it because I don't think there is a completely clear and concise way to say what you want the player to be able to do.

For the last line, how about "After using Rebel Vigilante Sidekick, you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control."?

I don't mind that wording, but I think it would complicate the original wording as much as it would help (since you could interpret "using Rebel Vigilante Sidekick" as rolling the 20-sided die to begin with).

That's rolling for Rebel Sidekick, though. Using it is using the whole power. Makes sense to me, anyway.

Since the "then" parts of the die roll are verbally long, you could bullet them and have the last line be outside the bullet points.

Robin wins; 1 Wound, 2 Rounds. Things look better for Jubilee, who gets heights and engages, but a strong hit from Jason takes her out.

Robin wins; 1 Wound, 2 Rounds. Bad, BAD rolls for Aqualad (and hot rolls for Robin) gives him a win.

Trickster wins; 1 Wound, 2 Rounds. A strong Itching Powder Bomb is enough to get Jason off his game, dealing two wounds, and taking him out shortly after.

Robin wins; 2 Wounds, 2 Rounds. It seems like Iron Man has it down, pulling Robin around and hitting him hard, but one bit hit from above is enough to deal four wounds to Tony.

Iron Man wins; 0 Wounds, 1 Round. One hit from Iron Man is enough to kill Jason - it was a helluva hit!

Bucky wins; 0 Wounds, 1 Round. One Machine Gun shot is enough to take Jason out.

Bucky wins; 3 Wounds, 2 Rounds. Bucky is harassed from above for quite some time, but despite all odds is able to win and take Jason out with one solid hit.

The Inmates moves in quickly, and get some surprisingly good defense rolls - they get in close and do their damage faster than Robin can take them out.

Robin hits fast and hard, taking out one Cop and then another. They don't have the speed to even attack him, nevermind do damage!

- Give a brief overview. The downside of Rebel Vigilante Sidekick never came into play, but the advantage of unlimited range did (letting him stack a turn with Batarang Cannon). He didn't get to do much, though, other than provide Spoiler with a turn necessary to taking out Harley.

Spoiler Alert!

Bat Family wins; Batgirl and Spoiler unharmed, all others destroyed, 5 Rounds.

ROUND 1: Batman starts with Bat Shuriken, Bat-Grapple, and First Aid Kit. The two sides quickly converge, but no real damage is done until Batman puts two wounds on Harley.

ROUND 2: Batman is in the midst, as a bomb from Harley does two damage to him and three to Catgirl. Things only get worse when Goblin flies in and finishes him off. Catgirl is killed shortly after.

ROUND 3: With Bats down, it's up to Jason and Cass to finish things. Spoiler takes out Harley as Goblin darts around; he's enough to kill Jason.

ROUND 4: With good fortune, Batgirl and Spoiler are able to kill Goblin before he can even take a turn - and he had all three Order Markers! They move onto Joker, who's, y'know, a bit weaker now that Batman is dead. Cass puts three wounds on him.

ROUND 5: Batgirl finishes Joker off.

- Give a brief overview. Huh... not sure why I thought this matchup would be good for anybody! The Kree just run rampant, Jason never gets a turn (despite statistically being very likely to steal one).

Units: Robin: Jason Todd, Robin: Dick Grayson, Robin: Tim Drake, Robin: Damian Wayne, Batman: Bruce Wayne, Batman: Terry McGinnis, Rorschach, Venom (1000 Points) vs. Ronan, Captain Marvel: Mar-Vell, Kree Scout x6 (1000 Points)

Spoiler Alert!

Kree Army wins; 1 Wound on Ronan, 2 Wounds on Captain Marvel, all others unharmed, 4 Rounds.

ROUND 1: Bruce Wayne is the Accused. The Kree swarm in as Batman, Rorschach, Dick and Tim advance. The Kree put two wounds on Batman, while Ronan takes one in return from Bats.

ROUND 2: Mar-Vell puts two wounds on Dick. Bats and Dick are unable to hurt Ronan when a Kree shoots Robin down. Batman is killed by Mar-Vell shortly after. Rorschach takes three wounds and Robin comes in shortly after, taking a wound from Mar-Vell's defenses.

ROUND 3: Rorschach and Tim both attacks Mar-Vell, and both are killed by Cosmic Awareness. Mar-Vell flies in to blast Venom for two, while Terry and Damian do a wound each to him. Mar-Vell is able to kill Terry and wound Damian before the round ends.

ROUND 4: Venom can't hurt Mar-Vell, while Damian attacks him and is killed by the Counter Strike. Venom is blown away by a Kree Scout next. Mar-Vell flies in and kills Jason Todd during his next two turns.

- Give a brief overview. This time, Jason stole one turn and was able to put the final wound on Molly. He's as useful as any other Robin, just cheaper, hopefully.

Units: Robin: Jason Todd, Huntress, Rorschach, Nite Owl, Robin: Dick Grayson (600 Points) vs. Blob, Toad, Molly Hayes, Armor, Jubilee (610 Points)

Vigilantes win; Nite Owl and Robin: Jason Todd unharmed, all others destroyed, 4 Rounds.

ROUND 1: The Mutants and the Vigilantes merge early, with Armor (unwisely) attacking Huntress, dealing a wound and taking two. Dick engages Blob.

ROUND 2: Blob takes two from Huntress, then moves onto the Glyph of Boom Tube and ends up in the opposing Start Zone. Doesn't do much, though, other than lock down Dan and Jason. Rorschach deals three to Toad, then Nite Owl finishes Blob off - bad roll. Toad puts three on Rorschach, then blocks two bolts from Huntress and a hit from Robin.

ROUND 3: Toad vomits up a knockout onto Rorschach. Jubilee hits Robin for two. But Huntress takes out Toad, and Jubilee takes one back. Molly takes some HUGE hits - four wounds. Molly kills Huntress, Jubilee kills Dick.

ROUND 4: Jason takes out Molly, Nite Owl finishes off Jubilee.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I dunno; really, he didn't have a spectacular showing either way. Looking at other Sidekick choices, he's closest to Damian. He's slower, less powerful, and with the potential detriment... but he strikes me as better than most of the options at 60. I'd like to put him at 70, since there's no Sidekicks at that price point, but he might end up being worth less. We'll up his Life if so, I guess?
