Hmm, my concern is that mid-level heroes and squads seem to have no way to consistently compete with him other than hoping that he turns over to their side.

Yeah, I find that's true of a lot of heavy hitters - only it's accelerated in the Captain Marvels' case, since they can do damage on attack AND on defense. But that's not much different than a multi-attacker.

We could bring his Defense back down to 4, but that still gives anyone with less than, say, 5 Attack slim chances to wound him, and makes him sort of a chump against similarly-powered units. Which I don't necessarily mind, he really picked on weaker guys through most of his arc (he had a great storyline where he's on Earth hanging out with Punisher and really messing him up with the whole "Cosmic Awareness" thing).

If we'd like to bring him back down to 4 and drop his points to about 330, I wouldn't be against it - I'm just not sure how much good it'll do. The cat is already out of the bag, so to speak, with Cosmic Awareness, which is the real problem against mid-levels. He's already got a built-in weakness outside of wounding, which is more than a lot of these big guys can say.

Yeah, I really don't like Cosmic Awareness sometimes for those reasons. Which means spreading it to multiple cards isn't always something I love doing (though I realize why we are). What about increasing the chances of him adding a marker (and thus changing sides) more quickly?

I considered that, but he seemed on-line to go crazy on schedule against squads...

I would mind putting it at 1-6, though, which would also give him an edge against heavy hitters. I'd be tempted to drop him down a bit to 340, though. Any other thoughts there?

I'd go 1-6 and see if he can sustain his current cost in public testing. Ask for at least one test from each tester against mid-levels and/or squads. We want to make sure he doesn't feel too broken in these match ups.

Okay, updated to 1-6 - I suspect his price will end up dropping a bit but I don't mind waiting and seeing there. I PROPOSE WE MOVE TO PLAYTESTING AT 350!
