Just finished my match with guild_warrior. He chose my granite guardian+Kha army and I had the gladiators. He had a small lead early on, but the dice were very, very, very against him the rest of the match. Felt bad, but he was a good sport about it. Fun match. Guess that's why they're the steamroller.

I got the win against jcustar07 this morning. He had his knights and I had my Roman/Dwarf Rygarn combo.

First round was a bloodbath with 5 Dwarves and 5 Knights being killed. I also lost Forgehammer who had been placed on low ground.

In the second round I lost Ambershard and another Dwarf and my first Roman, but Rygarn had a huge teleport (got me into flex range) and then a huge flex to Dwarves who were in attack position that took out 3 knights. MBS took out another this round

Matchup: 2 Axe, 7 Romans, MBS, Rygarn vs. 7 Knights, Gilbert, Hawthorne, Finn, Marcu

I flexed an OM to Rygarn who killed a knight, but the Knights are so stretched out and tied down by dwarves their movement is stifled. MBS killed another knight and I lose a dwarf.

Matchup: 1 Axe, 7 Romans, MBS, Rygarn (3 life) vs. 5 Knights, Gilbert, Hawthorne, Finn, Marcu

MBS at this point is set up in a corner surrounded by Romans sniping at Heroes and Knights as they come in. jcustar charges in with his heroes and Knights, but MBS and the Romans chew them up rolling 4-5 defense. I lose Rygarn, the last dwarf and 1 Roman, while they kill 4 knights, Gilbert, and Finn.

Matchup: 6 Romans, MBS vs. 1 Knights, Hawthorne, Marcu

Hawthorne rolls at least 2 skulls 5 straight times on his special, but the Romans really roll some shields and I only take 2 losses. Hawthorne is surrounded and hammered and falls over a couple of order markers. jcustar07 surrendered with 1 Knight (on Holdir) and Marcu vs. MBS and 4 Romans.

EDIT: got the win. The matchup was a bit tough but not unwinnable for Marutuk and co...but the early game placement essentially sealed the deal. I was able to place his Borgs on low water on the edge, place my raelin nearby and then get 2 squads of Ashra within her aura and blocking the Borgs from getting out of the water off lowground. 1st round I was able to get all the markers off and kill 2 of the Borgs to negate them entirely. Meanwhile he went all in on Marutuk who soloed Quahon, but after that the Ashra were able to take care of business, taking height on Boreos and Marutuk and finishing the deed. Still a fun game!

Went a lot faster due to Durgeth rolling pretty hot and Kinseth's figures rolling pretty cold. Brutes only killed like 1 Durgeth before they died. Two Buccaneers on height took 2 turns to kill Gothlok. Meanwhile Uzog killed Eltahale in 3 hits, Raelin died in 2, and I think the rest of the figures blocked like 1 or 2 attacks. Kinseth surrendered when I had lost 4 Durgeth, Isamu, and Gothlok but he only had 3 Buccaneers and Maltis Tez remaining.

AgentWard triumphed with the Deathchasers. Spartacus got insanitied into a hole and it was hard for the Gladiators to protect him to get him out of it. I failed some key attacks earlier that could have given him a shot at safety, and he died before the end of the first round, permanently neutering the rest of my Gladiators. They put up a bit of a fight but the Orcs had a numbers advantage were able to roll to a win. Good game
