The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Captain America set.
Its model number and name are #016 / Nomad.

Character Bio - Jack was born the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Jack grew up in a town of Nazi sympathizers, and he and his sister were beaten by their parents. Jack secretly grabbed a swastika armband from his father's collection and took it to school for 'show and tell'. He was taken to the principal's office and the FBI was alerted. Most of the town was indicted as traitors and executed. Jack buried these memories, and began to idolize Captain America.

While at school he met a professor who shared his views -the man who would become the Grand Director. The man explained that he found a Super Soldier Serum formula from the notes of an SS spy. Hearing that the Red Skull (actually an impostor using the name) had taken hostages, 'Steve' and Jack injected themselves with the formula and began calling themselves Captain America and Bucky. However, the formula left them mentally unstable. They were captured by the real Captain America (Steve Rogers), Falcon and Sharon Carter, and placed into cryogenic stasis. They were broken out a handful of times but easily recaptured. Eventually after extensive rehabilitation, Jack was allowed to go out in public again.

He was taken in as a partner of Captain and took the name of Nomad, one of Cap's old identities. Later he struck out on his own as a vigilante. He usually associated with the homeless. Finding a small girl abandoned by a prostitute mother, he named her as his 'Bucky.' He continued to fight Neo-Nazi forces. On one occasion he learned a corrupt senator was a survivor from the same town Jack grew up in. He stopped the senator and Agent Axis, but there was an explosion that knocked him into a coma. - Marvel Comic Database

STUN DISC SPECIAL ATTACK

After attacking with this special attack, Nomad may attack one additional time with this special attack. If Nomad inflicted one or more wounds against the same opponent's figure with each attack, you may remove one Order Marker at random from that figure's Army Card.

SHOTGUN BLAST SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 5. Attack 3.
Choose a figure to attack. Any figures adjacent to the chosen figure are also affected by the Shotgun Blast Special Attack. Nomad only needs a clear sight shot at the chosen figure. Roll attack dice once for all affected figures. Each figure rolls defense dice separately. Nomad cannot be affected by his own Shotgun Blast Special Attack.

Looks cool. Nice and straightforward. Another Vigilante for Marvel is cool too! Now if we just had some Marvel Vigilante synergy ... but that's one for another time.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Yeah, I'm on a straightforward kick now.

Since you started Spider-Woman, I figured I'd work on my last design in the Patriot Games release. I was thinking about doing all the SWAT designs in a row, but then with some of the Lawman synergies going on, I figured I'd wait until the [redacted] is On Deck before working on the [redacted] so I could test them together (being that the [redacted] would be done).

Anyway, I don't know about Marvel Vigilante synergies. They seem to be loners for the most part and don't have sidekicks or a Lt/Capt/Comish Gordan to jive with.

In Nomad's early years, he actually was Bucky and then became Nomad when thawed out from whatever and worked with Cap for a little bit. But I guess they went their separate ways and the mini version of him is the most recent Nomad era when he was a Vigilante. He had taken the Super Soldier Serum to give him better than Olympian level athleticism etc like Cap and can lift 1,000lbs, and trained with Cap to learn to fight really well. That's why I gave him the 5 life like Cap but 5 attack instead of 6. He didn't get the same Vita-Rays or whatever that Cap got when getting the Super Soldier Serum, so he became unstable over time.

He strikes me as a pretty beefy guy (somewhat like the Punisher - weapons, armor,that sort of thing), but if he's on par with Captain America I'm good either way.

Well, like I said, I'm fine with dropping him to move of 5. I was just showing why I put 6 at first. His mini is wearing cowboy boots, so that alone should keep him at 5.

Thanks GP. I'm looking for a few simple ones for awhile. Surtur and Thanos were a pain and I've been wanting the SWAT guys for awhile, so I'm alternating LDing 1 SWAT and 1 other simple design. That way I can use an On Deck SWAT to test with the next SWAT design etc.
