Results, Photos, Recap
Lincoln Seasonal was a ton of fun! The format turned out to be a blast, and we ended up with a Frenzy Finals, Mittens v Mittens! Highlights include
@Deadeye-Dan
using Deadeye Dan to clutch a game against a full-health Su-Bak-Na, Crixus blanking every single game, and ryguy putting two OMs on his destroyed Venoc Vipers card instead of his untouched Armoc Vipers to lose the finals (I swear those cards look identical).
I will put some very brief map feedback for the four I played on in the appropriate thread.
Update: The tournament will be held July 24th. Much more interest this time, looking forward to it!

Update: Lincoln Seasonal II was a success! We had 10 players that ranged from decades of 'scaping to players with only a few games under their belt. Here are the results from tournament:

Malachi - Heavy Gruts x4, Grimnak, Nerak the Glacian Swog Rider, Marcu Esenwein

Everyone won at least one game, which was good to see. Utgar and Jandar dominated the general wars. Vydar, Aquilla, and Ullar were only represented once. Einar and Valkrill did not see play. Overall a really fun afternoon and a really fun setting. Julie and I were the only common denominator from this tournament to the last. Lots of eyes on the game as Mana was packed for their anniversary weekend celebrations. The game is still alive in the Midwest!
I didn't do a great job of taking photos; fortunately our resident Heroscaper store employee took some nice ones for me.

Spoiler Alert!
Mana wants to host again, so keep an eye out for Seasonal III sometime in late June or early July (far enough from Scapecon that people may still want to come). Thanks to everyone for the support!

Lincoln Seasonals are back! They never left, but it’s been a while. We’ll be playing at the same location as usual, our wonderful FLGS, Mana Games! They are a gaming cafe in the historic Haymarket District with a great atmosphere that loves to support our tournaments, and they’re looking forward to having us back!
Format: Taste the Rainbow
Point Limit:
- 470 points, classic pricing
Figure/Hex Limit:
- 17 figure limit/no hex limit
Banned:
- No Marvel, VC, AoA, or the 4 A+ classic units (Raelin the Kyrie Warrior [RotV], Marro Warriors, Major Q9, and Deathreavers)
Format Restrictions:
Your army may not contain more than 210 points from any one general (card colors)
EXCEPTIONS: Single classic units that exceed 210 points: Jotun and Tor-Kul-Na
Other Details:
- Tournament will be “swiss-style” so that all players will play in every round (Mana has an employee who will hop in/out to ensure we have an even number.)
- Games are 1v1 and each round pairing will match players with similar records. Rounds will last 60 minutes at which point they will go to time (partial card scoring).
- The tournament will end after 4 rounds assuming we have between 8-16 players. More players will mean an extra round is likely, but with less players we will still try to play 4 rounds.
- Winner will be the player at the end of the tournament with both the highest win record and the highest SoS (strength of schedule). SoS will also determine rankings for picking out prizes at the end, so encourage all your opponents to do well in their other games, as it will help you out!
Does This Army Work FAQ?
Spoiler Alert!
Q: Does this army work?
Tor-Kul-Na
Marrden Nagrubs x4
Greater Ice Elemental A: No. Tor-Kul-Na is an exception to the 210 general point rule so that you can field him since he’s over 210 points. He still counts toward the limit, so you can’t field any more Utgar units.
Q: What about this army?
Raelin (RotV)
Major Q9
Deathreavers x4
Marro Warriors A: No. Not only does it not fit in the figure limit, every one of these units is banned. Shame on you.
Q: How about this?
Dumutef Guards x8
Water Elemental x5
Templar Cavalry x1 A: Uh…yes. That fits in the figure limit, and all your generals have less than 210 points between them. Why you’d ever want to play this is beyond me, but it’s legal.
Q: Is there a builder that can help me? A: Yes! Heroscape.org has a builder that can help you check if armies meet the point, figure, and general point limit. There is not a specific builder for this tournament, so keep the restrictions in mind while you build.

Update: Lincoln Seasonal III was a big success! We had ten players again and a late addition to the prize table, so everyone that stayed until the end went home with a prize! Lincoln Seasonals have had 19 different players between the three tournaments, which is exciting to see. We'll be back for sure this fall/winter! In the meantime, enjoy these photos in the FB post.

Point Limit:
- 570 points, classic pricing
Figure/Hex Limit:
- 17 figure limit/no hex limit
Banned:
-No Marvel, VC, or AoA
Format Restrictions:
This format is a bring one. For building your army to bring to the tournament, every time you draft a unit, you must take its accompanying Dead Weight unit(s), for better or worse. For example, if you have Alastair MacDirk in your army, you must also have Sharwin Wildborn in your army, and vice versa. For every copy of a common card you draft, you must draft the appropriate amount of accompanying common cards. If you have 2x Knights of Weston, you must also have 2x Grok Riders. These pairings can be found in the spoiler below.
Other information:
Round will last 65 minutes to account for the larger point totals (5 minute setup, 60 minute rounds). Games will go to partial card scoring at the end of the timer. Please arrive before 1pm in order to get everyone signed up and on time. You can find the tournament on Heroscape.org to register here: Registration. Everyone is encouraged to register beforehand to better accommodate all players. Otherwise, you can sign up the day of. Keep in mind that the tournament builder is not able to account for the pairings, so you must keep track of what dead weights go with what. These are the most updated pairings and will not change until after the tournament. Also, when you are building your army, please double check the point costs, as the dead weight pairs cost may have errors in them. We are using classic pricing for this event.
If you have any army you want to bring but don't have the units, please reach out to ryguy266 on the forums or ryguyplaysgames on Discord. It is likely I will have the units you want to play and will gladly lend them to you for the tournament.

Update: Tournament went well considering the nasty weather we had. Some new players as always and plenty of familiar places. Here are the results, for those curious about how the army-building went. I'll put my thoughts about the format itself in the Dead Weight thread, as well as my thoughts on the maps on the appropriate thread.
Spoiler Alert!

Cooperdiam 3 1 0 10th Regiment of Foot x1,Arkmer,Einar Imperium x1,Evar Scarcarver,Kyntela Gwyn,Minions of Utgar x1,Otonashi,Warriors of Ashra x1
Added more attendees. Looks like it will be a pretty big event. I also have one of the store employees on board to play if there is an odd number or if people leave early, etc. so that there won't be anyone in the tournament who will need to sit out for a round.
Edited the OP to include a note about proxies that came up in the last tournament. Happy to allow 3d printed figures of classic scape. They do not necessarily have to be painted, although it helps greatly to distinguish figures and to determine line of sight both to and from the figures. Adding this comment for a bump also. Only three and a half weeks away!
