Character Bio - Richard Rider was an ordinary High School student when he was chosen as the next recruit for the Nova Corps, an intergalactic police force powered by the enigmatic Nova Force. At first, "The Man Called Nova" was far removed from his fellow Centurions on Xandar, instead joining forces with the New Warriors and fighting crime on Earth. However, when Richard is called to duty, the Annihilation Wave strikes, wiping out Nova Corps, leaving Richard alone as Nova Prime. Uniting with the Xandarian Worldmind, a supercomputer designed to aid in the protection of the universe, and aided by the full power of the Nova Force, he sets out to avenge his comrades - and, of course, save the universe.
