I have a lamp post object that came in a set with other city terrain items. Having a card for it would be cool as I've only ever used it for decoration. It's so thin that I tend to place it in the space between the hexes like how the short & long ruin walls work, that way it doesn't prevent movement through a space. I've also placed in on the half hex spaces created when using the Grish buildings, and continued to let figures move through but not stop on those spaces. What is the plan for this lamp post as it relates to where/how it's placed on the board?

Fwiw, I think that stuff like how many life a DO has can/should be sorted out in the design phase of something, rather than as a prerequisite to starting a design phase, but ymmv, I suppose.

I guess this is the discussion thread...so to make it more accessible. Here was what I had originally for the Crates.

I had posted these in the terrain sanctum thread but didn't realize access was limited and since I have my own thread now...

So these crates are made from Cav's paper terrain and Cav's paper Terrain 2. I made them a few years ago and mostly they are just used as fluff on the map but I always wanted more and the recent HoSS release inspired me to get back looking at these. The smaller ones I worked up are inspired ripped off of the HoSS containers. The large ones are more in line with the current C3G short ruins.



Hydra Agent gets Partial Cover from the Medium Crate in front of him...Cappy gets Partial Structural Cover from the Large Crate. Jean grey could technically pick up the Medium Crate and just bash the Hydra guy over the head with it.

MEDIUM OBSTACLE
Medium Crates are considered Medium Obstacles. Figures may move through, but not stop on, a space occupied by a Medium Obstacle. If a huge figure moves through a space occupied by a Medium Obstacle, roll 1 attack die. A skull rolled counts as an unblockable hit against that Medium Obstacle.

Taking cover
Before a small or medium figure adjacent to this Medium Crates rolls defense dice against an attack from a non-adjacent figure, you may choose to destroy this crate. If you do, add 1 automatic shield to whatever is rolled.

Figures adjacent to this Large Crates that are not huge add 1 additional die to their defense against non-adjacent attacks.


Instead of using wound markers for the medium crates we decided to be inventive...when one of them receives a wound we replace it on the map with a semi crushed one my son stepped on to show it is damaged and only has one life remaining. I put sizes on them so they can be thrown and tossed.

Foam Blocks I repurposed from my sons toys are the same size as these paper craft large crates.

Those look like fun and easy to make! Type of stuff you'd find as Cap combs through an abandoned warehouse. I'd rather have folks just be able to stand on top of these for a 4 height DO.
