To quozl - I'd personally prefer to avoid a recharging dynamic here. With Jade, the GLs already get enough recharging, IMO.

I think Instill Hope will be niche, but could have a lot of use against very hard to hurt figures (like those with very high defense).

If we're worried it's just not worth it, though, what about something that lets figures engaged like that cause an auto wound to each figure they're engaged with? I imagine that'd be worth it ....

I absolutely am, since the comics themselves have pigeon-holed Blue Lanterns as only offensively effective in the presence of GLs. That's the theme, so it's as appropriate as pigeon-holing Leech into an anti-Mutant build. The beauty here is that you at least get to control your army, whereas you might not be able to control your match up.

Blues can defend themselves and fly with their rings, basically passive things. They are able to use their rings offensively when a green is in close proximity AND they increase the power and output of a green ring when in proximity. Brodee is the only blue who is known to be able to project blue constructs without a green nearby, and only with great strain.

Oh, I thought when he said replace a battery marker, he meant change a green for a blue. Nevermind my previous question about why you would do that.

Yeah, this was the basic understanding we went with when discussing this design before Scapey posted it, as I recall. Thus the Move number being static, and the others less so. Maybe his defense should be static as well?

SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5

LIFE = 4

MOVE = 3
RANGE = 3
ATTACK = 3
DEFENSE = 3

POINTS = 340?

BLUE POWER BATTERY 4 (He's the Hal Jordan of the Blues)
Start the game with 4 blue Battery Markers on this card. Add one to this Blue Lantern's Move, and Defense numbers for each blue Battery Marker on this card. If one one or more Green Lantern figures is adjacent to this Blue Lantern, you may also add to this Blue Lantern's Attack and Range numbers.

INSTILL HOPE
After moving, before attacking, you may remove one blue Battery Marker and place it on the card of any adjacent Green Lantern. As long as that blue Battery Marker is on that card it may be counted for Green Power Battery. When that Green Lantern may use any power that has an option of removing a green Battery Marker, you must instead remove the blue Battery Marker from that card and activate the power. Green Lanterns may never have more than one blue Battery Marker on their card.

BLUE LIGHT OF HOPE
Anytime this Blue Lantern or a friendly figure within two spaces is attacked by an opponent's figure and at least 1 skull is rolled, instead of rolling defense dice normally, you may remove one blue Battery Marker from this card and ignore that attack.

FLYING SYMBOL
SUPER STRENGTH SYMBOL

I think this really fits the theme of them. Only Bro'Dee will have Blue Light of Hope, any others would have Blue Power Shield. (There are only really two known others - Sister Sersy, and Brother Warth, neither of which have a mini.)

I'm not sure changing all three powers and all of the stats can fairly be called a "tweak." You could just say "here's my version."

Fair enough. But to be honest, every word there was inspired by Scapey's write up, I never had a version until I saw this. I really feel I took what he had and tweaked it to feel more like the character I know.

Looks like this one will certainly require more conversation at least. I do kind of like the idea of how you approached the Battery power, though, with the defense and move boost always there and the other boosts there only in the presence of a GL.

I'll hold off on additional comments until we hear from our fearless LD.

So, going over the comments here, A3n and Bats are satisfied, as it appears Hahma is as well after the clarification about the markers. Quozl raised the concern that Blue Power Shield would be a good idea, but I really don't think that it fits Saint Walker all that well. Power Shields would be more appropriate for the other Blue Lantern in eventuality, but not Saint Walker.

So, I think I'll send this out to ERB now. If anybody has any concerns about the SP, please bring them up. I will begin the initial after the ERB responses are discussed.

I would consider going with Spidey's take on the Battery power, just because it'll make him a lot less swingy. That might just be me, though.
