Kind of wish they could get drafted with Cap Wolf, but I don't see how to make that happen as his power is very specific to werewolves. Beastman calls out Ferocious though so that's a pretty sweet hook. yea

Yeah, so you could still run them and a pack of Werewolves (and Land Sharks, for that matter) together if you wanted to do Beastman as your hub instead of a Hell Lord.

I found a potential issue. Vassago says "after revealing an OM on the Army Card of an unengaged Hell Lord." My intention was for the wolves to make the Hell Lord unengaged so she could ride Vassago, but it seems that the wording implies they have to be unengaged while you reveal the Marker. So should we update Vassago's card, since I don't see a way around it?

Depends in how easy you want it to be, I guess. Wolves can still help her become unengaged, it just may take two turns for her to ride instead of one.

R1: Lady Death’s crew moves up, and Bats and Tim do as well. Vassago deals a wound to Bats, and Lady Death spends a marker to destroy Batman! Nite Owl hits LD for a wound, and Robin misses. The wolves kill Robin, and LD, powered with Defiant Fury, deals 2 wounds to Nite Owl.

R2: The wolves deal a wound to Tim. LD kills Nite Owl. Vassago was able to take advantage of the Wolves distraction, but misses his roll, and LD kills Robin.



Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Lady Death with a single wound, and all others unharmed.

R1 Ben, Wasp, Sue and Reed move forward. StarLord moves up. Johnny moves up and Reed moves in front of Sue. Cap moves up. Johnny hits Cap for a wound. Lady Death’s crew moves up, but all out of range of Johnny save LD, but she misses.

R2: Cap moves up, missing Reed. Ben moves around the battle, missing Vassago. Reed misses Cap. The wolves engage Ben, allowing Vassago to not be engaged, and deal 2 wounds to him. Vassago flies over the fray, engaging Sue and Wasp, dealing a wound to each (killing Wasp). Lady Death uses her X marker to kill Sue. Johnny Flames On, dealing 2 wounds to Cap and killing a Wolf. He then shoots Star Lord for a wound. Reed misses Cap. A Wolf deals a wound to Ben, Vassago misses him, and Lady Death misses him while rolling 7 dice, wow. Johnny walks around Vassago to engage LD, and Flames On, dealing 2 wounds to LD and Vassago. Then misses Star Lord.

R3: Johnny FLames On again, killing Cap and dealing 2 wounds to LD, then shoots Star Lord for a wound. Reed misses Star Lord. Cap loses his turn. JOhnny Flames On again, killing Vassago and wounding LD. Bed disengages the last wolf to engages LD, but misses her. But Reed gets the killing blow! LD had all the markers after that, so Ben and Johnny made quick work on Star Lord and the last wolf.

R1: Lady Death moves up with her wolves, saving Vassago to help Pluto. Angel moves up Prof, and Cyclops misses LD. Vassago moves up Pluto, but he’s still not in range of anything. Jean and Beast move up. Pluto rides Vassago over to Prof, and Vassago deals a wound. Prof blocks Plutos attack with his shield. Jean puts 4 wounds on Pluto! Cyclops picks up the helm and misses LD.

R2: The wolves deal 2 damage to Cyclops, and LD finishes him off! Jean deals a wound to LD, and Iceman misses. The wolves attack Angel, dealing a wound and causing him to run away with Prof, and then the other wolf hits Iceman for 2 wounds, and LD kills Jean with her De
Fiant Fury bonus! Iceman misses LD, and Beast kills a wolf. Iceman misses, and Beast kills the other wolf, deals a wound to LD, and 2 wounds to Pluto!

R3: Beast and Iceman miss the Hell Lords. LD kills Iceman. Beast deals 3 wounds to LD and kills Pluto! LD puts 2 on Beast. Beast hits LD for 1a wound, Angel flies over but misses. Prof protects Beast, wasting LD’s X marker.

R4: Beast kills LD. and the Xmen wipe up the last of the Hell Lord army.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:

I think they’re good around 80-85. Obviously they’re dominant around lesser powered guys like the Vigilantes, to a crazy degree, but also Bats died instantly there. If public testing shows them too powerful in certain matchups, I’m fine lowering their attack or something like that. I like their combo with Vassago, and it doesn’t make him too potent at all, just more useful!


GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT:
They’re super fun, and really feel great alongside Lady Death and Vassago. This whole mini-faction starts out oppressively strong, but they can falter real fast. If you lose your Hell Lord obviously the supports are night useless, and even a single wolf falling isn’t great either.
