Question. Should Heat Vision randomly destroy glyphs or Superboy's controller gets to pick? It seemed like it should have been random against Mandarin's rings, especially since there would be no way he would know which was which on his fingers.

I'd say you get to pick. The power doesn't say "random". Supes is smart, he could easily watch to see where Mandarin puts his rings or what pocket Batman has his grapple in.

You get to "destroy 1 glyph on the chosen figure's card". Nothing there suggests it should be at random, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to choose.

Superman has super vision - he could discern which ring was which.

Yeah I understood that the power read that you picked, I was more curious if everyone thought it made sense. We played it correctly because there was no doubt about the wording. I guess I'm just a little bitter that 2 of Mandarin's best rings were gone in 2 turns the first time I used him.

The set name for the figure used should be Legion of Super-Heroes Collector Set, to avoid confusion with the similarly named Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes set.
