Maybe "wacky feedback stuff when there are multiple hosts" is thematic, though?

The wording in Negative Spirit Return is a little weird to me... assuming the intent is just to cover both the situation where you actively choose not to return him to the card, and the situation where some special power prevents you from doing so?

(Also there's an opponent's in Hollow Man that should be opponents' instead.)

I know your interpretation for the latter is correct - in case he gets miniaturized by Brainiac or captured in an anti-Negative Spirit net or what have you. Can't speak for theme on the first.

Honestly not entirely sure it's thematic (when the Spirit isn't hosted in Larry he tends to be free of its effects), but that minor thematic quibble seemed worth it for mechanical simplicity. There's never been a situation where the Spirit has changed hosts multiple times during a battle anyways, so I think we can bend the theme rules a bit.
