Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : Gonna use Meggan as a 2nd King/Wakanda Forever expy when she hits the roll. Blue Team seems pretty well rounded, but might fall apart if they lose White Canary.

Meggan uses Empathic Metamorph on Black Panther.

ROUND 1 : Red Team initiative.
Mostly movement. Batman fires at Okoye on OM 3, but doesn’t wound her.

ROUND 2 : Blue Team initiative.
Canary fails to bond, then moves up and whiffs an attack on Okoye. BP moves up to try and close the gap. Canary bonds with Batman, who essentially gets a double turn with At The Ready since Canary doesn’t move. BP nearly dies + loses OM 2, and Meggan takes a wound. Canary fails to kill BP on OM 3, and Meggan can’t wound Batman.

ROUND 3 : Blue Team initiative.
With At The Ready, Batman takes out BP. Okoye moves up and deals a wound in return. Blue Team has some good momentum, and Okoye takes 2 wounds. Meggan OM 3, Power Mimicry succeeds on Okoye. Meggan fails her attack, but Okoye’s Wakanda Forever wounds Batman.

ROUND 4 : Blue Team initiative.
White Canary is on fire with the bonding rolls. Assess Weakness lets Batman tear through Okoye, and Meggan doesn’t last much longer. The SWAT Rifleman is chilling in the SZ, but he dies to Canary on OM 3. Blue Team wins!

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): White Canary 4/4 Life, Rip Hunter 4/4 Life, Batman 2/4 Life

Post-Game Thoughts : Blue Team had some great rolls all game, and Red Team couldn’t really get much started. The lack of another consistent Wakanda Forever figure is definitely felt for Okoye, so I’ll just keep that in mind going forward.

Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : Mostly looking for Royal Guards with Okoye this game. Team Nobility will have to watch out for the Scarlet Spiders and Fury, since they can drop wherever they’re needed.

Nick Fury and the Scarlet Spiders are the Drop Team.

ROUND 1 : Agent initiative.
Mostly just movement. Aquaman takes a wound that’ll probably be healed in the future.

ROUND 2 : Agent initiative. Fury and the Spiders drop in.
Aquaman doesn’t get the chance to heal, and dies to an attack from the Scarlet Spiders and Commander Rogers. Team Royalty retaliates, with BP killing a Spider, and Okoye wounding Black Widow. Rogers and the 2 Scarlet Spiders take OMs 2 and 3 attacking Mera, but she only takes 2 wounds. She kills a Spider to end the round.

ROUND 3 : Royalty initiative.
Using Aquakinesis, Mera kills the last Scarlet Spider. Black Panther and Okoye are moving as a pair, but aren’t getting much damage this round. Rogers kills Mera on OM 3.

ROUND 4 : Royalty initiative.
BP and Okoye do a little damage to Black Widow. She fights back and wounds Okoye. Royalty OM 2, BP kills Black Widow. Rogers takes out Okoye, leaving Black Panther vs. a slightly wounded Commander Rogers and a fresh Nick Fury.

ROUND 5 : Agent initiative.
With Agile Assault, Black Panther is able to reposition and kill Fury. It’s going to come down between a roll of between BP and Rogers, two figures with solid defense.

ROUND 6 : Royalty initiative.
Black Panther just can’t punch through Rogers’ Photonic Energy Shield, and so BP dies on Agent OM 2. Agents win!

Post-Game Thoughts : Much better performance for team Okoye, and they could have pulled it off. She never took any direct wounds through Royal Guard, but it made the Agents target her first, so roughly the same idea. Considering she doesn’t have any other Wakanda Forever figures to play with, I’m feeling pretty good about her right now.

Meggan copies Black Panther. Meggan is Jack-Jack’s Babysitter. Moondragon makes Rocket a Guardian.

ROUND 1 : Team Okoye initiative. Moondragon moves her team up with Cerebral Chess.
Mostly an uneventful round, with both teams moving everyone up. Cap slips up on Robot OM 3 and takes 3 wounds to end the round.

ROUND 2 : Team Okoye initiative. Moondragon moves her team up with Cerebral Chess.
Cap moves up for a Shield Throw, dealing a wound to Moondragon. Cap takes another wound from Robot, but survives Moondragon. Black Panther moves up to attack Rocket, but no luck. Robot OM 2, he activates Rocket, who drops a bomb onto Cap and kills him. Team Okoye can’t get much going, but Okoye uses Royal Guard to sacrifice herself for Meggan on OM 3.

ROUND 3 : Team Robot initiative. Moondragon moves herself and Robot backwards and across water with Cerebral Chess.
Moondragon opens the round hot, with 3 wounds to Meggan. Not much else happens this round ; Rocket takes 2 wounds and Black Panther takes 1.

ROUND 4 : Team Robot initiative.
Rocket has been clogging the way between Black Panther and Robot/Moondragon, but Black Panther finally kills him on OM 2. Moondragon gets a huge attack roll on OM 3, but Vibranium Armor saves BP. BP leaps up to Robot and attacks, but fails to wound.

ROUND 5 : Team Okoye initiative. Moondragon moves herself and Robot across the water and close to Meggan.
Black Panther gives chase and wounds Robot for 3. Moondragon takes out the adjacent Meggan. OM 3, Black Panther finally takes out Robot.

ROUND 6 : Team Okoye initiative. Moondragon moves B P adjacent to Mystique for Engagement Strike, but no damage.
BP doesn’t want to risk disengage against Mystique so he just goes for her, dealing 4 wounds. Moondragon doesn’t want BP to get more defense, so she flies adjacent and attacks for a wound. Bit of a dice off between Moondragon/Black Panther the next two rounds, but Moondragon scores the kill with Titanian Technique. Jack-Jack actually lives this round though, and Moondragon and Mystique both only have 1 Life left.

ROUND 7 : Team Robot initiative. Moondragon moves Jack-Jack away from bushes and trees.
Jack-Jack is a Terminator or something, he survives a round of attacks from Moondragon. He is obviously slow though, and he can’t quite catch her, even with his random powers.

ROUND 8: Team Okoye initiative. Moondragon moves Jack-Jack into some water.
Jack-Jack can’t reach get out of the water, and Moonknight zaps him to finish. Team Robot wins!

Post-Game Thoughts : Felt like blue team was in control the whole time here, but it was a close game. Okoye didn’t do much except eat wounds for King Meggan, but that’s pretty half the reason you draft her. Another loss, not Okoye’s fault I think.

General Thoughts on the Tested Unit : Tough to say exactly how she is right now, but probably fine considering Wakanda Forever and Rallying Cry are so factional. She feels fine all things considered, 2 losses were very close when she doesn't have any great armies yet. I think she’ll fit the role of passive buffer/shield fine.

Thinking of changing Rallying Cry from "before taking a turn" to "before moving" for more flexibility in when it kicks in, but I'll hold off and see how she does in public. It's a dial that could be twisted when more of the faction is around.

Cap Wolf and the Werewolves came out very aggressive and took out Okoye in round 2 and Captain America in Round 3. Black Panther and Iron Man made it close but couldn't quite make up for the lack of turns. Game ended in round 5.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: 140 feels right. When there are more figures with the Wakanda Forever power her cost could go up. Currently playing at under 140. Solid with Kings and Queens.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Okoye plays the role of bodyguard well. She soaks up wounds and and deals some auto wounds. Overall she is a little soft, but feels very on theme. She went down quickly in both of these games. Will be able to get a better handle on her once other Wakanda Forever units are playtested.

I did get in a third game in with Splash where she stuck around a bit longer. See his results for the other game info.

Thanks Eric! She's not doing great in her W/L ratio, but that's about what I expected with her being the first in a new faction. Most games have been close losses anyways, so not too worried about how she's feeling right now.
