Ok, initial impression is incorrect. This isn’t Bruce Banner/Hulk hybrid, this is Hulk/Death No Hulk hybrid. I’ll take it!!! His power state fluctuates similar to Thing’s Clobberin’ Time. In fact, you’re giving the opponent a nasty choice. If Death No Hulk is pounding you, you have a really strong incentive to break engagement in the hopes of getting him back into a normal state.

This design is screaming fun through a bullhorn. I’m also excited when C3G takes on the original Marvel set, and I really consider this design a vast improvement.

Wording is direct, clear, and clean. Only question I’d ask would be if Hulk begins the game with the Soothe Marker on or off. He begins the game unengaged anyways, so I’d say Yes. Not sure if it needs to be specified though for clarity.

My choice for marker color would be sky blue, as that seems more calming than purple. Another idea would give him a red Rage Marker, where you would reverse the on/off card aspect. I don’t mind duplicating colors for different marker types (you’re going to have to, anyways), but red is one color I would hesitate to put on any other marker besides Wound Markers. So Soothe Marker is good, and Rage Marker is bad.

12 attack/12 defense seems awfully high in theoryscape (DNH at max surviving wounds), but opponent always has soothing strategy. If this had been a problem, I think the initial playtest would have exposed this. So I’m optimistic that this works.

Wow, just wow!

This is the most enthusiastic ERB response ever! Thanks. Yeah it worked for me in the initial playtest. I tested him over 40 times, and he can go crazy balls to the wall, and he can also calm right back down. I love that we are boosting his defense and attack with no cap and also trading in the Special Attack for a characteristic power that helps to define him, and not just describe his powers.

If he starts his turn unengaged, he places the calming marker on his card - this applies naturally at the beginning of most games due to start zone issues.

Mine was when he referenced my Bruce Banner card.

I assume the color purple is one of the educational marker colors, I don't think we need to branch out to different colors like "sky blue" yet.

There's a normal "blue" that we could use, which I think might work better here.

Not to mention the fact his pants ALWAYS turn purple when he changes. (Which Marvel has explained as Denim's metamorphosis from exposure to gamma rays. Don't know if their is any science to it. )

I always forget what colors we even have to choose from though. Where is that information linked?

EDIT: 'd by Spidey. Wouldn't purple work better as a Rage marker for him in that case?

Purple is just such a pleasing color aesthetically for Hulk, but light blue is more "calming".

Hmm ... Spidey does make a good point about the theme of purple. Really, I'm cool with either blue or purple.
