I can see kind of combining the Execution and Let Me Show You How It's Done powers into one thing; Blade (from the movies anyway) always struck me as the type who's going to step in and finish the kill if you're not being ruthless enough. Maybe something like this?
RUTHLESS FINISH
If an enemy figure within 5 clear sight spaces of Blade is attacked and not destroyed, you may move Blade adjacent to that figure and inflict a wound on it. After using this special power, you cannot use it for the remainder the round unless the defending figure is Undead.

Interesting concept. I'm not 100% sold yet as I like the idea of the reuse and it loses something without the Stake part in the title.

Fair point! What if we did it with unblockables instead. Something like:

STAKE EXECUTION
After an enemy figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Blade defends against an attack from Blade or a figure friendly to Blade, if the defending figure has only 1 Life remaining, roll an unblockable attack die, or 2 unblockable attack die if that enemy figure is an Undead or Lycanthrope.

I always felt like he should have a Swordplay power. Without forgetting about his ranged weapons, this is what I came up with. Probably not the best of ideas since he no longer would have a SA to use with Hellboy(II), but I thought I would put it out there.

Edit- I was just imagining him taking out hordes of vampires with his sword.

WHISTLER'S WEAPONRY
When Blade attacks, he may attack one additional time. Enemy figures attacked by Blade cannot use any special power on their army cards to ignore or remove wounds for the remainder of the turn.

Since he'll get two attacks and basically gets an autowound on Undead he attacks figures with the power I spitballed above, he'll be a useful in most armies while being lethal in an Undead army.

Neat. I'd probably Ape wording closer to Battle Beast which, I believe was intended to do just that and reads "....wounds inflicted with that attack cannot be ignored."

After revealing an Order Marker on any other Army Card you control and only taking a turn with that card, if an opponent's figure was attacked and did not receive any wounds, immediately take a turn with Blade. During this turn, Blade can only target figures that were previously targeted for an attack and did not receive any wounds during your player turn. After using this special power, you may not take a turn with any other figures.

The first and third powers are extremely close in use and functionality and could in fact trigger at the same time.

That power does not remove wounds… it ignores them. I agree with Margloth though that this design does not work as is. It had two powers that often trigger at the same time.

Unstoppable Resilience ignores wounds.

Undead Resilience removes wounds because it's a weird non-sense power.

I feel like we've pretty specifically replaced Undead Resilience with Unstoppable Resilience (it's certainly not a power I'd ever consider using or be psyched to see), so doesn't really bother me if Blade can't get passed it. Don't think it was ever on an actual vampire anyway.
