Broly can’t move so he smacks 16 for 2 wounds. 18 lands 2 wounds on Broly with Infinity Bullet and unlocks his Eraser Cannon. 17 lands a wound at range with Photon Flash. Broly takes 16 out with a big swing.

R2: Androids win initiative. 18 flies adjacent to Broly and lands a wound breaking his arm. 17 lands another wound on Broly with Photon Flash. Broly’s double attack is unlocked and it’s about to get real. 17 removes 16 from his card to take an additional turn. 18 lands 3 wounds on Broly with Infinity Bullet after leaving engagement with Broly. Broly blocks 17’s attack but is hanging on with 1 life left. Broly moves to 17 and slams him with Lariat and follows it up with a double attack taking him out. Broly then moves to 18 and hits her with a Lariat and a double attack landing a total of 3 wounds. 18 ends it with the last lucky roll of her Infinity Bullet. Had the Android’s last OM not been on 18 this probably would have ended differently.

Wrecker lands 2 wounds on Broly. Broly doesn’t risk the LEA for Lariat and just swings on Wrecker landing 2 wounds and ending the game.

R2: Titans win initiative. Starfire moves in and unleashes her Protective Fury dealing 6 wounds to Broly unlocking his Eraser Cannon and double attack. Broly takes down Cyborg with Lariat while taking a LEA wound himself. Broly obliterates Starfire with his double attack. Raven moves to height and takes Broly out with a big roll.

Winning Team: Nightwing and Raven unwounded.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: After playing what felt like a million games, I think he’s ready. This version was much more fun to play with and against. He is a powerhouse that can take his opponents out in one hit, but he’s not hard to hit with 6 defense. However, the more you hit him the meaner he gets. Lariat is really useful for controlling the enemy and lining up an Eraser Cannon. I only used Eraser Cannon a few times because most of the time his double attack was the better choice. It is devastating if you roll high enough though. Unlocking his double attack on LSS at 8 wounds puts him really close to death and I think that makes sense. At this point I’m pretty happy with how he performs and can’t wait to see what other people think about him.

Game 1: 18 and Krillin lead out. Broly has some poor early attack rolls so the Challengers pile on the wounds. The duo get Broly up to 9 wounds, but then Broly’s double attack activates, and he kills 18. Vegeta enters the fight. Broly uses Eraser Cannon to kill Krillin and wound Vegeta. Vegeta takes Broly down.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Vegeta (2 wounds) wins.


Game 2: Broly one-shots Krillin, then 18 deals 4 wounds to him in a single turn. 18 deals a 5th wound to Broly before being killed. Vegeta enters the fight, and brings Broly to 9 wounds with Final Flash. Vegeta can’t touch Broly after that, and the brute brings Vegeta down.

Game 1: Broly kills Cap first, but then Strange ends up being quite the nuisance. Strange brings Broly to 10 wounds before being killed. Bucky shoots an 11th wound onto Broly before he meets his end.

Game 2: Broly goes after Cap first again, and puts him down quickly, only taking 3 wounds. Bucky puts on a 4th before too dying. Strange brings Broly to 9 wounds before falling.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Very fun design, gets the feel of Broly across well and I like how he gradually powers up throughout the match by unlocking new abilities. Lariat means he’s constantly taking LEAs which powers him up faster, but it’s usually worth it to move someone to low ground and chance a wound. Legendary Super Saiyan makes his stats even better, and opponents hesitate to engage him to avoid the stat debuff - handy to avoid too many LEAs from using Lariat. Eraser Cannon is more niche, but it has its uses. Anytime you can hit someone next to a tree, or hit a clump of 3+ people, I’m probably using the Eraser Cannon unless I have the double attack unlocked.

One thing with Lariat - Broly can pass over a figure on space #7 of his movement and throw him onto space #2. It’s not really a lariat but more of a throw in that situation. I think it’s fine (Broly tossing a dude far away is perfectly thematic and useful in gameplay), I just wanted to point it out as I thought it was funny.

Pretty close games overall, 3 wins and 1 loss. I don't think I'd change anything.
