Idaho

If you live in Idaho, post here! There are very few people that play heroscape in this area. (southeast Idaho) I have been looking for more fellow heroscapers to get to know.

Re: Idaho

from someone very far away: Don't hesitate to drive a couple of hours to host (or to attend) an event. And don't wait for someone else to announce that he or she is running an event in your area. Bait the hook yourself, and see if anyone is interested.

Check the link in my sig for the simple steps involved in setting up & running an event. If only a couple people come, and you have a little Heroscape game day instead of a tournament, it's still excellent.

Played a tournament with @dart48 and his bunch just 2 hours north of me. It was a blast, we will probably be doing another one soon enough. @Jaromrw where are you from, dosen't say in your info. Preston's just about 10 miles north of the Utah border. @Scaperedude , a bunch of you guys are about 2 hrs south of me as well.

@dart48 , I've been busy but I'm just about finished with your Laglor figure. I was going to try to mold some axegrinders for you tonight, but I'm staying over at work again, so it may have to wait a little longer. You guys up there in Burly figure out when you want to do another tournament and we'll get something together. I work all the time but can usually pull through for a game.

A couple of our players are off at college at CSI now so it'll be a little harder to find a date but we'll discuss it over. And ok, sweet about the molds, and don't worry about the laglor, I'll just pick it up next time we play.

Re: Idaho

@adoney, @dart48, @Tiranx, that tournament was super fun and it was great meeting you guys. We could use this thread for our further planning purposes. I have some new Ideas on what we could run next tournament. With such a turn out, I have some details I think would be fun for the next one.
-500pt Armies-Original,C3V, and HOSS allowed
-BOV or similar approved maps with NO GLYPHS on the board.( This would cut it down to straight up strategy rather than who gets the attack glyph.)
-Time Limit on matches to keep everyone even on matches. 30-45 min(we can figure this one out)If figures left, count points deciding by who has the most points. If you have a partial squad of 2/3 of 100pts, that's about 66.6 points.
-Random Opponent by D20(unless you have already played them.)
Prizes
-1st, 2nd, 3rd-We can have the money pot, and two other prizes brought for the place holders. Ties go to the D20 high roll.
-Dund Prize, Player with lowest amount of wins. If tie, D20 and low roll wins. ( I have another Hilarious prize for the dund prize in mind.(I have to build it, you guys will laugh pretty good I think.) I really would like to keep this prize category.
-WTF Prize, Beginning of the tournament, every player puts their vote into a bowl for the most ridiculous army. At the end of the tournament, we tally.
I think this would be great, tell me what you guys think, and then we should aim for a date for the next one.
Oh, and just remember to subscribe to this thread.

Re: Idaho

Agreed! I had a blast playing with you guys!

I think your analysis is sound TREX. I'm down with another tournament in the summer...you wanna "run" that one? If you need help, @Tiranx and I could share how we run our tourney here in Rexburg which we felt was really successful.

Also! Brent ( @dreamscaper ) , who won first place, has just joined Heroscapers so give him a warm welcome and hopefully he joins in on our thread here.
