Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Black Adam
You'll rarely not have fun when you're rolling 7 dice, and the lightning strike is a nice bonus. Courage of Mehen is nice for reducing incentive to target him with D20 powers. He's probably more fun than competitive, but I do think he's better than Captain Marvel.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Billy Batson)
Another big smash-y guy with low-key powers. I run him with Iron Patriot a lot. Big hitter for Norman to bond with, and his passive OM rearrangement lets him recover any OMs that get dumped in stupid places when you lose initiative.

Essentially a beat stick with various subtle situational powers. 3/B-

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Billy Batson)
Pretty similar to Black Adam, his powers are all fairly situational and you pay a decent amount for him. Still, his stats are pretty great. Average design on the power scale.
Billy Batson (the 60 pointer) makes Marvel really fun, but you’re sacrificing more competitiveness to bring him in IMO. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Billy Batson)
Slightly lower cost, less useful powers, still fits fine as a heavy in plenty of builds as a Champion. 4/B-
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Captain Marvel (Billy Batson)
He'd be a lot better if his OM shuffle thing happened after the opponent's turn I'd think. Then you could just use him as a place to store OMs and throw them on people if they survive that turn. As it stands, it's pretty much only good for like getting around 'if there's at least one OM on this person at the start of the round' stuff.
His other powers are basically irrelevant, so outside of weird OM trickery builds he's mostly just some stats and flying desperately hoping there isn't another champion with similar stats and useful powers at that cost to totally obsolete him. The healing will usually come into play at least once during a game.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Doctor Fate
I wish Helm of Nabu modified by 2 instead of 1. Right now it's basically a once per round modification of 1 for removing the "X" if you don't have something better to do with the "X," which you usually do. So many powers just do it better.
The teleportation is decent, but has enough restrictions to keep it from being game breaking. Magical Defense is always useful. He's better than he used to be, thanks to having factional fits with Mystery Men and magic users. But he's probably about 50 points more than he needs to be. 3/C+ C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
