Re: The Book of Shadow Lass - Public Playtest Phase
Yeah, that helps as I had to learn the entire faction to run these tests.
Got another one and I am calling it quits, someone else is going to have to bring this one home. I would try her at 220 with the lower negatives and aura. Should have the results up tomorrow. |

Re: The Book of Shadow Lass - Public Playtest Phase
Sweet! Seems like you've done plenty, T-Spinny. Nice job here.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Shadow Lass - Public Playtest Phase
This is a faction I’d love to see a few strategy articles about. I’ve picked up about 4-5 legionnaire minis but haven’t ever played them.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Shadow Lass - Public Playtest Phase
Cosmic Boy is the lynchpin. Mon-El pairs really nice with Shadow Lass.
Lots of options, I barely scratched the surface. |

Re: The Book of Shadow Lass - Public Playtest Phase
Glad to hear you think Mon-El pairs well with Shadow Lass. That’s good thematically.

Re: The Book of Shadow Lass - Public Playtest Phase
Yeah, the no line of sight restriction on IV is really nice. Bumps Lass up to 6 A&D and your target is -1, if you can get high ground, like off a Throw from CB it can be devastating.

___________________________________________________________ THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Certainly felt broken until the reduction in negatives and aura. The Legion is strong, very strong and Shadow Lass fits right in. Keeping all the reductions and the line of sight restrictions in order is a bit of a challenge, especially when trying to figure out an entire faction. She is fun and offers tons of strategy about when and where to drop her glyphs. Still a bit baffled at her cost as the Legion only lost one game out of six(I had three more before the ones above) and one razor thin win but the rest were all solid victories. I think 220-230 is in the ballpark though. |

C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Shadow Lass ___________________________________________________________ Army Test 1 Map: Custom Units: Shadow Lass(220), Cosmic Boy(260), Phantom Girl(180), Timber Wolf(260) (920) vs. Warriors Three (920)

Spoiler Alert!
___________________________________________________________ THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Both matches were pretty close all things considered, and neither felt like one army was without potential to win. For Shadow Lass, I'd say she's a solid addition to an already solid faction, so these couple of close wins and the struggle of finding a balance for her point wise and power wise, to me, is probably best solved by bumping her points up by 20 and calling it good. I don't feel she's necessarily the reason they are winning, but her abilities are still useful none the less. Fun unit, fun faction. I'd settle at 240. |

Re: The Book of Shadow Lass - Public Playtest Phase
Cheers Arkham.
I have updated the SP with the tested changes. How does everybody feel about her now? Do we feel comfortable enough to move forward as per the SP or do you think she needs another playtest? Re: The Book of Shadow Lass - Public Playtest Phase
I think she’s good to move forward. I don’t think there’s anything to be gained by more testing of her specifically. Legionnaires are a good faction, I don’t think she’s bringing anything more than 240 to the table.
