Looks like I've missed a few, definitely A_Train on this one though, he's just got more synergy.

I'm going with Brian on this one.

His army is looking at Nilf with some Greenscales, but let's see what Brian has to deal with Nilf.

Zetacron, Brandis, Mother Freaking Kaemon Awa. That's a lot of Hero Sniping ability. When Nilf dies, the Greenscales can easily be cleaned up.

I'm interested to see if Fishsticks gets any play time.

It doesn't take long for Zetacron's range to ruin things for me. Nilfheim is almost instantly dealt 3 wounds.


I have no option, Zetacron is going to range me no matter where I am, so I fly in Nilf, and luckily get the kill in one shot.


Kaemon Awa advances and deals a fourth wound to the Lizard King.


Nilfheim deals one wound to Awa, while his Greenscale followers finish the job.


With only a few Greenscales advanced, I decide to retreat Nilfheim, until I can advance more of his followers.
The Greenscales that were already advanced, press the attack to buy some time.
They wound Brandis.



But fall.





Isamu does some road running to get his boosted attack vs the Sentinels of Jandar. He cuts one down.


Then focuses on the Order Marker heavy Brandis.



Another Greenscale advances. He rolls a single skull. Brians defense?



Ouch.


Funny enough, Brians last Sentinel then goes on the attack vs the Greenscale and rolls:

Kind of funny for back to back rolls.

Isamu fails to Vanish, but defends an attack from Brandis before countering with an attack of his own.



Brandis kills Isamu and a Greenscale in one turn.


Marcu flies into battle, and promptly takes a 4 wound beating.


But then, after forgetting to roll for Eternal Hatred, Marcu flies in and slays Nilfheim. The Greenscales are wrought with grief.


So Marcu continues killing them, healing himself all the while.


But the warriors put the two wounds back on him.


Brandis gets another kill.


The Raider enters the scene, seeing a juicy target in the wounded Marcu, and finishes him off.


Brandis gets one more Greenscale Warrior notch on his belt.


Before falling to them.


The Greenscales can't get past the defense of the Sentinel, and fall in turn. The Raider advances, realizing the entire battle has come down to him and the Sentinel.





Instead of taking the equal ground, which I could have, the Raider's amphibious defense calls to me. I'm not sure it was the best idea, but it didn't matter in the end, as the Sentinel fell to the attack.




A_Train for the win!!!!

Another battle on Highways and Dieways.

Brian: Phantom Knights x 4, Fen Hydra x 1 (for sure this time) and Tarn Viking Warriors.

A_Train: 10th Regiment of Foot x 3 and Jotun (And army that came to be from thinking in dok's Auction draft thread. Though in there I can afford more 10th).

The 10th can still do fairly well when engaged in melee with the phantom knights, and Jotun should be able to fell the hydra pretty quick.

Damn, that was close. A_Train's post-Nilf trash did more damage than I thought it would.

What the heck, I'll go with Brian again. Should be close. The hydra with a viking screen may be able to do a lot of damage and Reach will bypass the 10ths defense bonus. It may all turn on first strike between Jotun & the hydra.

Oh, I've skimmed through them from time to time. But now I feel interested in following up on them. I've been following Carakki's battle reports, and when I found he based it off of yours, and his high praise of your reports, I decided to follow your reports as well.
