Character Bio - Amanda McKee was orphaned at a young age before being taken in by billionaire Harbinger Foundation founder, Toyo Harada. An incredible technopath, she grew up devoted to his life's mission, until the arrival of Peter Stanchek. While she believed in Harada, she knew he needed a counterbalance, and helped Peter escape Harada's control. Months later, the arrival of Aric of Dacia (X-O Manowar) on Earth led to the formation of the Unity team (Unit-Y), including Livewire and Harada. After bonding with and taking control of Aric's armor temporarily, Livewire learned the truth of Harada's evils. With the armor having increased her powers even more, she now had access to all Harada's secrets. She turned the Unity team against her former mentor, now leaving the foundation completely behind.

Modeling her new suit after Aric's armor, she has increased ability to control electrostatic energy thanks to her technopathy, and can even use this to generate flight in her suit. Her link with the armor increased the range and strength of her abilities, now allowing her to interface with and control machines at a much greater distance.
