Re: C3G Wonder Woman - Design Phase
Perhaps my biggest thing with the double spaced units getting moved by lasso, it that I don't see it as being needed to make her represented thematically. I had thought that it would have been a good opportunity to introduce this change to the norm with having Magneto to be able to throw double spaced figures as that seemed like a perfect opportunity to do it considering his power level and theme, but that got shot down and I didn't have the pitbull tenacity to argue it like GO has
I don't think that there would be such a mechanical issue with it but that doesn't necessarily mean it should be done either. I really don't see the thematic reason to let her be able to do it. I mean, thematically and mechanically, Flash could be able to have an unlimited move each turn because he's Flash and can run around the earth. On OM 1, he should be able to move 15 spaces to grab a Green Kryptonite Glyph and then move another 15 spaces to take it to a spot that his opponent couldn't get to and that was far enough away from Superman to not effect him. There's nothing hard mechanically about doing that and it seems pretty thematic, but does that mean we should do it? I'm not going to argue the point any further, as I've spent more time than I already wanted to on it. Re: C3G Wonder Woman - Design Phase
No, I don't think it's needed to represent Wonder Woman, either. I just thought it would be a good place to introduce a little variety (I honestly didn't think of it while we were working on Magneto).
The Flash example may be thematic, but it would also be game-breaking and imbalanced. I don't think that's the case here, as it would be a much more subtle change. |

Re: C3G Wonder Woman - Design Phase
I love her as is. If she doesn't feel like she hits hard enough in playtesting, we can always bump her back up, but I really love Wonder Woman as the perfectly between Batman and Superman figure as she more or less is with her life, move, attack, and defense.
And I propose moving her to playtesting, since A3n can't. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Wonder Woman - Design Phase
YEA to playtest phase.
If she needs to go up to an attack of 7, then that can be changed. She can fly far and get height easily enough or use her Lasso to bring opponent to a lower level so she can have a 7 attack with height. Her Lasso will bypass certain things like Evasive Strike, Counterstrike, Spidey Sense, Tough Defense, as well as other powers, so that should hopefully help her feel more potent than a 6 attacker. However, I don't have a problem bumping it up if she doesn't feel as powerful as she ought to. Re: C3G Wonder Woman - Design Phase
She may be more willing to kill than Superman. So even though he is stronger he pulls himself back as not to murder people. That would justify a 7 attack if need be, but I personally like her at 6 attack.

Re: C3G Wonder Woman - Design Phase
I also am willing to bump her attack and other stats up, down, around, diagonally, etc, during playtesting. I do care about Wonder Woman and I don't want her to feel like a chump. However, my gut tells me with the Lasso negating all adjacent figures' special powers, an attack of 6 will be sick.
Yea, for playtesting. |

Really? NOW we're all about doing exactly what the designers do?

Re: C3G Wonder Woman - Design Phase
I'm not and never was. I like compatibility and I'll listen to, and consider where GBob and the others have gone. But I have my own design aesthetics and I'm not going to follow them blindly - on this issue or any other. (But, I know that wasn't addressed to me).
