Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
Still one of the go-to's if you're doing attack boosting. Moving to Loner definitely defangs him a bit, but he's still at home just fine with Star-Lord and Cap builds. The class change probably moves him out of A+/5 territory to just A/4 territory for me, though.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
I don't think the class change (or the 30 point bump) affects his high end potential. The vigilantes as a faction probably held him back more than anything, and 30 points is negligible when he's boosted by Cap or Star lord. He's still the best generalist ranged attacker we have.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
0Yea he's still a really solid A/4 for me. A good pick for just about any army, even ones where he doesn't directly benefit from any synergies.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
I think turn bonding with Robin (Dick), placement by Commissioner Gordon, retrieval and healing from Alfred, and Hand Ninja bonding by way of Lady Shiva are all worth a half grade or so.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
The class change means almost nothing to Punisher IMO, since if you were playing him in Vigliante armies you were basically handicapping him.
You can no longer play him in a mediocre faction, but it doesn't effect his best builds at all so it only changes his 'versatility' rating, not his power ranking. Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
That’s why we changed his class. Vigilante armies weren’t his best builds, but he was still the best Vigilante option available for most of those armies.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
Punisher didn’t have the best armies full of Vigilante synergies, but including Robin (Damian) in with attack boosters was a solid combo.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
Yeah, I think the main thing he lost was bonding with Robins (with Dick and Damian probably being the top choices) in wider generalist armies.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion (Punisher)
The triple ranged 7 normal attack is one of the top options for stat boosting armies and always will be. Increase that boost further by drafting him with someone that can give him a lift up to high ground quicker to really maximize him on appropriate maps. I always felt his biggest weakness was his staying power as I've had him whiff on defense on me many times and drop fairly quickly. Stat boosters like Cap & Star-Lord also helps with that though, as does the high ground advantage vs. other ranged attackers. You can also consider drafting a screen, protector, or something to help him avoid being attacked for a while. After all the changes he's gone through, I'm not sure how much I'd use him anymore when not in a stat boosting focused army build, but he's still a top option in those so 4 stars.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Green Construct (Mech Warrior)
I’ve never had much luck with the Mech Warrior. Seems overpriced for how fragile it is. And while 2 attacks of 4 are useful for a GL who has expanded several of its battery markers, generally attacking with a GL is better.
