Re: The Book of X-23 - Design Phase
I could see her being draftable either way. Having her be a Clone would make her a much cheaper option than Wolverine.
Put me down for LD's choice. |

Re: The Book of X-23 - Design Phase
Put me down for Mutant. I think she'd suffer in the fun department if we made her the ugly duckling of the Xverse.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of X-23 - Design Phase
I am a fan of Mutant, and to back up Bats a little more, we have used Clone several times to keep designs from getting benefits from being played with Alfred (but only where clone is also thematic.)

Mutant for me - more interesting gameplay decisions.

Seems like Mutant is the prevailing wind but I'll also put my vote down for LD's choice.

Re: The Book of X-23 - Design Phase
I don't really care either way, but if she's going to be a Mutant, then I don't think there should be any more Clone species down the road. I would hope to be consistent with that and not pick and choose who we want to have synergies and who we don't want to have them. Clone/Species Cloned from is cut and dry, it's one or the other.

Re: The Book of X-23 - Design Phase
I dunno. We've been inconsistent on it in the past. Superboy (Con-El) is a clone, but we made him a metahuman. Red Skull (official and C3G) are both humans, but we went with clone for both. MODOK is a science experiment. Or a mutate, I guess. But we went clone there. Judge Dredd is a human, but we went clone there.
I think in the cases where we went with it, clone was more interesting than the other cases. I think here, Mutant is more interesting. Superboy was just a weird one. Not sure I know what happened there. Either way, I'm not sure what our standards have been for choosing this in the past other than what we felt was most interesting. Do you see any other patterns in those choices? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of X-23 - Design Phase
Well then, I guess we can just wing it as they come along since you just reminded me of how inconsistent we've been with this.
Regardless, I still could go either way with what X-23 is. Hand of fate is moving and the finger points to you ...Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man TUTORIAL FOR RE-BASING FIGURES 3hrs 43mins 32secs = 1242nd of 8808 overall - 1988 Honolulu Marathon |

Re: The Book of X-23 - Design Phase
Wow this is an interesting vote, if I cared enough for her to be a clone I have been handed the power to make it so . However, I am a team player & since there are really no strong voices to make her a clone & there are 2 that won't her as a Mutant, let's make her a mutant. With that I will update the SP shortly & send to ERB. Which also means she is ready for an initial if somebody feels up to obliging.

Cool. I'd grab this one if I could, but I promised to do a public one next!
