I am probably OK with that myself, though I should probably go research the gods and the powers bestowed upon him a bit more. I will admit, my Shazam lore is a bit rusty.

Yes and No. Yes that works, and I like it, but I am thinking that the way we have been handling Magical Resistance is with the power MAGICAL DEFENSE. Now we can't give him that power, because it would make him cost like over 500 points, and he isn't a magic wielder, but, we could invert the already used power and make it like so:
ZEUS' MAGICAL RESISTANCE
When Captain Marvel is attacked by an opponent's figure that has the Magical Defense special power, the most wounds Captain Marvel can take for this attack is one.

That would make him resistant against Magic Wielders, and they would still be resistant against him.

I don't see how a +1 Shield against special attacks translates that theme at all. Mental Shield is out because he is in fact mind controlled, but I think the subtracting from the D20 roll is perfect for this power.

Well since the bonus for the SA was a compromise I am fine to loose it & go with your offered Zeus power but I believe it should be named "POWER OF ZEUS" to stay with the theme.

I like where you guys have gone with this a lot and I like the idea of spelling out four text powers on this guy's card. If there were room on the card (and there's not) I'd love to spell out six powers, so four works for me!

C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Captain Marvel

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.
PASS

- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game.
PASS

- BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding.
PASS

- SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit to powerful or too weak.
PASS

- POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any.

- FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play.

- FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against.

- DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting.

- USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable.

- STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game.

- Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero/ Does it pass, Yes or No? What should be the unit's point value? Give a brief summary. Kinda feels like he cost somewhere between between 350 and 380 since the best he can do is beat Darkseid half the time, but he can't really beat Hulk (official).

That big attack with healing is pretty complimenting, even though the healing is conditional, it is really nice and powerful when it kicks in.
