If they could include the option for fans to make and upload customs, that would be a good backdoor for a VC database as well, then you can select which groups you do and don't want. I don't think it is likely, but it would help replace resources such as HACCS.

A wishlist item: a feature to help map builders assess movement. For example, a filter that highlights spaces that can be reached by an X move figure with/without flying. Or the reverse - how many spaces can reach a given hex with X move. I'm imagining something like Dignan's recent post in WoS.
