Character Bio - Born the daughter of prosperous Chinese immigrants, young Jubilation "Jubilee" Lee was sent to an exclusive Beverly Hills school, where her talent for gymnastics was discovered. Jubilee spent much of her time rollerblading with friends at the local mall, but ultimately ran afoul of mall security. Facing juvenile detention if caught, Jubilee panicked and first manifested her mutant ability to generate explosive energy. Soon after, her parents were mistakenly killed by hitmen. Jubilee fled to the only home she had left - the mall. She survived as a petty thief and street performer, but mall security eventually tired of her eluding capture and called in a team of novice mutant hunters, the M-Squad. That same day, the mall was visited by the female members of the X-Men. When the M-Squad attacked Jubilee, the X-Men came to her aid and then left via a portal created by Gateway.

MUTANT SIDEKICK
After revealing an Order Marker on the Army Card of a Unique Mutant Hero you control and taking a turn with that Mutant, if Jubilee is within 6 clear sight spaces of that Mutant, you may take an immediate turn with Jubilee, and you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control.

Start the attack with 4 attack dice and choose a figure to attack. Any figures adjacent to the chosen figure are also affected by this special attack. You may attack with 2 or 4 attack dice until all 4 attack dice have been rolled. Attack dice are rolled once for all figures. Each affected figure rolls defense dice separately. Jubilee is not affected by her own special attack.

Very cool GP, I love that she's a Mutant Sidekick, that's great! It would be tempered so that there can't be 3 mutant activations by Prof X because it only works with mutants that reveal OM and take a turn, where Mindlink says "after revealing OM and instead of taking a turn with Prof X..." So it will be nice for other mutant armies w/o Prof X. Or she can be Prof X's protector for endgame stuff, though Angel pretty much has that going on for him.

I've seen her in the X-Men cartoons, so I'm only a little familiar with her. So I checked out Marvel Comic Database and it says she can have various levels of power for her fireworks attack. So I figured that maybe we can try allowing her to send out a couple lower powered fireworks or send out one big one to give her a variety and add more fun. I didn't know how crazy you wanted to get as you could also have markers to put on a figure wounded by fireworks that would lower their att/def by 1 because of temporary blindness. It seems like you want to keep the cost down, so the marker thing probably isn't a good idea.

Any figures adjacent to the chosen figure are also affected by Fireworks Special Attack. Jubilee only needs clear sight for the chosen figure. Roll 1 or 2 attack dice. Each skull rolled counts for one additional hit. Attack dice are rolled once for all figures. Each affected figure rolls defense dice separately. Jubilee cannot be affected by her own Fireworks Special Attack.

She could also have Mental Shield:

• Psionic Shields (formerly): Jubilee's mind possessed a natural defense against telepathic detection or attack. These psionic shields rendered her mind "slippery" and invisible to telepathic beings unless they knew precisely what to mentally scan for.

Cool stuff, GP. The Mutant Sidekick is a bit confusing with Mutant Mindlink, but it works, and I like that it gives a non-Prof X bonding option.
I like where Hahma's going with the Fireworks power ... but I think we could trim some text from that if we wanted to:

Thanks. I thought it would be a fun low cost option to pair with Wolverine, Colossus etc to help them with crowd control when you don't want to spend the full 220 on Professor X.

Cool. I like the 1 or 2 attacks with Fireworks also. We could also just do 4 dice without the doubling effect to simplify it a bit more.

I think I'll leave off the Mental Shield because it isn't a major part of her character and I'd prefer she was a 2 power low cost figure.

I might just tweak her stats a little too after thinking about it. Give her attack 3 instead of 2 to make a normal attack a viable option.

Pretty much same as last game. Juggernaut's 1 attack couldn't compete against a Berserking Wolverine.

Same as last match. Cap's defense was too stout for either to get through. JG didn't get many rolls.

- Give a brief overview. Jubilee definitely gets her points worth when going up against squad figures, especially on a tight map like this. She ran interference for Cyclops once or twice too.

The special attacks of these two X-Men was enough hold the inmates at bay before they could surround and take them out.

- Give a brief overview. Jubilee did her fair share in this match. Once inmates cornered her they took her out quickly.

Very close match. Aggravated Assault kicked in a few times and the Inmates almost pulled this off.

Hand Ninja numbers overwhelmed the two heroes. They kept spread out to avoid splash damage from Fireworks SA.

- Give a brief overview. Jubilee consistently took out a ninja with each of her attacks. Dazzler got the brunt of the attacks because she was holding the OMs and they had her on the ropes.

Ninja do pretty well on this map because of good movement, some range and Phantom Walk. They hid behind columns until ready to strike.

- Give a brief overview. Jubilee was taken out early (R2 T2) but she took out 2 ninja and helped the X-Men with board control a bit to prevent the ninja from grouping.

Spoiler Alert!

R1 Cyclops, Jean and Jubilee move up. Deathstrike and Ninja move up middle, one ninja takes the left passage. Wolverine moves up the right passage. Jubilee can't see him and so stays put. Deathstrike uses road bonus to quickly move up the middle and engage Wolverine on height, she attacks him for 1 wound. Ninja advance up different tunnels, walls are blocking line of sight for any ranged attacks. Cyclops activates Jean who takes out a ninja with her attack. Jubilee uses her special to take out a ninja as well. Deathstrike hits Jean for a wound. 3 ninja advance, 2 attack Jean and are blocked, 1 attacks Jubilee for a wound.

R2 Cyclops activates Jean who lands 4 wounds on Deathstrike! Jubilee disengages a ninja and uses her special rolling 1 skull that is blocked by a ninja and Deathstrike. Deathstrike biffs her roll for Vengeful Strike, but takes out Jean with her attack. Ninja land one wound on Wolverine and one on Jubilee. Wolverine kills a ninja and heals. Jubilee kills an adjacent ninja with her special. Deathstrike kills Jubilee with her normal attack. Last 2 ninja advance, first runs interference for Deathstrike and attacks Cyclops and is blocked. Cyclops Optic Blast takes out a ninja and puts Deathstrike one away from death. Deathstrike Vengeful Strikes Wolverine for 2 wounds, attack is blocked. Last ninja advances.

R3 Deathstrike attacks Cyclops for 1 wound. Wolverine kills Deathstrike and heals. OM2 lost on Deathstrike. Wolverine kills last ninja and heals. Avalanche moves up. Nightcrawler moves up.

R4 Avalanche moves up. Cyclops moves up and shoots Avalanche for 1 wound. Avalanche uses Earthquake SA and gives Nightcrawler and Cyclops 1 wound each. His outcast friends move up. Wolverine slashes Avalanche for 2 wounds. Pyro shoots flames at Cyclops and is blocked. Wolverine attacks Avalanche and is blocked.

R5 Nightcrawler kills Avalanche and puts 3 wounds on Pyro with Teleport Barrage. OM 1 lost on Avalanche. Cyclops Optic blasts through own Wolverine giving him 3 wounds and puts 2 wounds on Blob. Blob attacks Wolverine and is blocked. Wolverine puts 3 wounds on Blob and heals. Pyro with 1 life remaining does a risky disengage from Nightcrawler and lives! He uses his special attack to put 1 wound on Cyclops and he takes out Wolverine with lucky 4 skull attack vs 0 shield defense!

R6 Blob attacks and flattens Cyclops. Nightcrawler attacks Pyro and then Blob with his Barrage and is blocked by both. Pyro attacks Nightcrawler with Flames and he dodges. Nightcrawler attacks Blob and kills him. OM 3 lost on Blob. Nightcrawler kills Pyro for the win.

- What should be the unit's point value? 60 points
- Give a brief overview. Jubilee only took out one Hydra Agent in this game. The MVP for X-Men was definitely Gambit who wiped out more than half of Hydra with his special attack. In a Professor X build she's more of a clean up/reserve figure but can also be useful to keep your opponent's figures and particularly squad figures from clustering. Towards the end she made her way across the map and worked with Beast once out of Professor X's range to continue giving X-Men two turns without Xavier.

Spoiler Alert!

R1 Gambit and Beast move up. Hydra Agents and Red Skull move up. Angel carries Professor up and Colossus moves up. Agents fire at Professor and miss both of them. Red Skull uses the cube to move Colossus lower and shoots him with Lugers, but is blocked. Gambit kills an Agent with his special attack. Colossus gets out of the water and punches Red Skull, but whiffs. Agents and Red Skull attack Gambit, but can't land a wound.

R2 Strucker moves up 3 Agents and Gorgon. 3 Hydra attack Gambit and all of them are blocked, fourth Hydra on height attacks Beast for 2 wounds. Red Skulls teleports Colossus out of the way and shoots at Professor w/ Lugers and is stopped by Psychic Defense X. Gambit vaults over and hits Red Skull for 3 wounds and the Cosmic Cube lands in the poo. Beast runs over and takes out a Hydra Agent that is pinning down Colossus in an engagement. Hydra agents fire at Beast and give him 1 wound. Red Skull fires his Lugers at an engaged Gambit and both shots are blocked. Gambit freely disengages and kills a Hydra Agent and then takes out Red Skull with his special attack. Beast leaps over to a Hydra Agent and takes him out. Two agents and then Baron Strucker fire at Beast and all miss. Jubilee moves up. Angel carries Jubilee towards the action in the middle of the map.

R3 Agents fire at Jubilee and Angel missing both. Beast uses his Whirlwind Assault to take out 2 Agents. Jubilee uses her special to take out an agent. Gorgon slips through a back tunnel and engages Colossus and unleashes his Godkiller SA for 2 wounds. Gambit gives Gorgon 2 wounds with his special. Colossus punches Gorgon and is blocked. Agents fires at Angel blocked, another at Beast blocked, last 2 fire at Jubilee for 1 wound. Strucker attacks an engaged Angel with Satan Claw and is blocked. Gambit kills an agent with his special. Colossus attacks Gorgon and takes a wound with Precog Strike.

R4 Beast is outside of Professor's range so I put OM 1 on him. Beast attacks 2 Hydra with Whirlwind and kills both. Jubilee attacks an engaged Hydra with her special attack and is denied twice. Gorgon rolls a big hit with his Godkiller SA and takes out Colossus. Gambit uses his special on Gorgon and gets 4 out of the 5 skulls! and takes him out. Angel attacks Strucker from height and misses. 2 Hydra attack Beast and miss. Strucker gets on level ground with Angel and gives him a wound with Death Spores. Gambit kills Strucker with his special. Angel flies over and attacks an agent but misses.

R5 Beast leaps between the last 2 Hydra Agents and wipes them out.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Full health Professor X, full health Gambit, 3 wound Beast, 1 wound Angel and 1 wound Jubilee win in R5 T1
